Who came up with the phrase (or at least made it widely popular) 'I'm not gonna lie, ...[insert completely obvious statement here].'

Anyone? It's everywhere; and I'm not gonna lie, it's driving me a little nuts (said knowing that I've used the phrase myself...maybe even a lot).

AHHHH! seriously! i swear to apollo, i asked heather that exact same question quite recently. it's really annoying...

i'm wondering if it was from some TV show/movie and then everyone adopted it.... and you know how pop culture references and lingo spread like wildfire.

i'm just glad someone else feels the same way! ha
