| (This is my short story manga please R&R) Ula: *Gazing into the distance crying* King: "Daughter it is time..." Ula: *turns around* "Yes father..." ** A casket is brought through the streets** King: *In front of the casket* Ula: *In the back she lingers, gingerly dropping rose petals* Little Boy: *seems to stand out in the crowd, tears filling his eyes* Ula: *notices the little boy and wipes his tears* "Boy... why do you cry? You know not my mother..." Little boy: "Yes... But when my brother cries, I cry as well..." Ula: *looks up to see the man of whom this boy is related* The Handsome man (Arlen): *gazes down at her and wipes the slight tears forming on her cheeks* Ula: *blushes immensely* Arlen: *puts his lips next to her ear and whispers* " Tonight at midnight, meet me in the garden... I will explain everything..." Ula: *she stands as though not hearing him and turns away* **The line of royalty and guards finally reach the gravesite of the queen and bury the coffin** Ula: *Kneels by the cross and sobs* **Rain pours** **Later a party is being thrown in the ballroom for royalty from all over and nobles In the queen's will reading** King: *Standing in front of all* "This is the will and final wishes of my dearest wife, Leonora, Queen of Luneve... My dearest daughter Ula... ‘Twas my wife, your mother's final request you be betrothed before the dawn of tomorrows dawn.. He shall be chosen tonight... By myself... From the nobles and royalties tat hath been invited to the reading of her wishes..." Ula: *startled look goes across her face* **Men gather around to meet her and dance with her... Ula: *as she is dancing she looks to the clock high above the ballroom remembering the man's whisper...* Arlen: *you see his face slightly shadowed saying* "At midnight... meet me in the garden... and I will explain everything..." Ula: *she looks at the man she is dancing with and struggles to be freed of his grasp... The clock strikes midnight... * "Excuse me! I must be gone..!" Man: *gives her a puzzled look as she leaves the ballroom running outside* Ula:*runs from the ballroom and into the garden* **The moon shows and a fountain with many trees and plants all around is the scene** Arlen: *comes out of the shadows* "Ula... Is that truly you..?" Ula: "Yes... my name is Ula... But how do you know of me by my first name?" *she looks away shyly thinking...* 'I remember him from somewhere... but where?' Arlen: Ula! Do you not remember me? Arlen.. The flute peddler?" Ula: "Arlen...?" *she touches his face* Arlen: *he grasps her hand* "So you do remember.." Ula: "How could I forget..." *She smiles holding his hand to her cheek* **Flashback** Arlen: *playing a flute in a market place setting... Looks around the age of seven..* Ula: *same age, runs over* "Arlen!!!" Arlen: *he stops playing his flute and smiles* "Ula again? How'd you get out this time?" Ula: "I asked my nanny while she was sleeping!" *she giggles with her dimples showing* Ula: "Now lets go play!" Arlen: "But I have work to--" Ula: *doesn't seem to be listening but just grabs his hand and pulls him along* **Fades out** **Fades in and they are suddenly older** Arlen: *gazes as the flower petals fall* " Isn't it pretty Ula?" Ula: *laying her head on his chest* Arlen: *smiles* "Ula?" Ula: "What is it?" *she smiles dreamily* Arlen: "My mother just gave birth to my brother.... and mother died... So I won't be able to see you for a while... I need to move farther away to become a shepherd’s hand..." Ula: *just looks up at him with tears in her eyes* Arlen: "But I need to make a promise..." Ula:"... What is it, Arlen..?" Arlen: 'When I make enough money... I'll buy you a real one..." *he slides a small ring made of hemp with one pale yellow feather in the center on her finger* "Just promise me... You'll be here waiting for when I return..." Ula: "I promise... Forever..." Arlen and Ula: sitting under the tree holding each other... The memory fades* Ula: *tears in her eyes* "I thought you would never come back.." Arlen: "I made a promise didn't I?" *he wipes the tears from her eyes...* "You haven't changed... Quick to cry..." Ula: *buries her head in his chest* Arlen: *holds her gingerly* Ula: "I still have the ring..." *She shows him the ring on a long silver chain* Arlen: "I kept my full promise..." *slides a jeweled ring on her finger* "Be min... Forever?" Ula: *looks up with tears in her eyes* "Forever and on..." Arlen and Ula: *gently kiss* King: "Arlen you swine!" *Holds his sword up* Ula: "Father no!" King: "Hush daughter! I vowed to protect your mother's wish and that I shall!" Ula: "Father!!!!" Arlen: *gets in front of Ula* "No matter what you do... My love for Ula shall remain..." King: "BASTARD!!!" *stabs Arlen in the chest* Arlen: *doubles over and falls to the ground* Ula: "Arlen..." *She falls to her knees holding his head on her lap* "You... can't die..." Arlen: * he touches her face...* "Our love... Is for eternity.... Let no one tell you different...." *He closes his eyes* Ula: *tears form mistily in her eyes... she sees the sword of her father laying next to Arlen's body... Her eyes gain a rage* "FATHER!" *she grabs the sword* "All my life has been ruled by you!!! Nothing has ever been up to me!! And you deserve to die!!! You killed the only man I will and did ever love... But no! You shall not die.... But God forgive me.... this is my fate!" *she stabs her chest and falls next to Arlen* King: *Falls to his knees* "Damn it... What have I done...?" *holds his hands over his face* "It was all for you... Ula.... But In the end I killed you through my strict love..." Little Brother: "They still live on..." King: Looks up to the little boy* Brother: "But now... for eternity... It was fate..." King: Hugs the little boy* Last shot of Arlen and Ula closing their eyes closely by each other END Well? |
