wow. if i wasn't already feeling so energetic and optimistic, what just happened would have totally made living worthwhile.

after replying in scott hayman's lj that he was ubersexy (even though i've never seen him) and that a tall, blonde, freshman clarinet wanted to marry him, i got a reply from heather saying i rocked and such. pretty cool considering i've only wanted to follow in her footsteps for like, 3 years?

but anyway, (i know, it's not like me to skip over such an event as quickly as i just did, but that just shows that i'm in a REALLY good mood) i went to LAHS with Ali today to figure out where all of my classes were and stuff. i'm so glad i didn't go alone. not only did i get to walk around and talk to one of my best friends, i got to gossip the entire time. i've been gone pretty much all summer at camp and trips and stuff, so needless to say, i needed to catch up. it's too bad we didn't have longer, cuz we could have talked for the rest of the afternoon. i also saw my history teacher, mr. freeman. very friendly man, should be a lot of fun. i have him 7th period (which he says is the best period) and he was very impressed with my schedule and probably commented on my intelligence 3 times in the 5 minutes we chatted. should be a fun class! also saw mr. ferrucci and mr. shaull, but then again, i see them every week. haha. how many freshman can say that they know 2 of their teachers on a first name basis?

well, after being unsucessful talking ali into walking home with me, we parted ways and i walked home by myself. (now, this really shouldn't be a big deal, but to my mother, it happens to be a major deal)

should have a blast these last few days of summer. i could (or could not) have a horseback riding lesson this afternoon. either way, it'll be cool. tonight I GO SEE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA IN THE CITY!! AHHH!!! if you're not jealous, you should be. i pity the people who are not enthralled by musical theatre. they're missing a lot.

tomorrow is the red barn festival all day at my barn. i didn't sign up to work this year, but then again, i didn't last year, and i got recruited for parking duty and gate duty. who knows? i might even ride. in any case, it'll be a lot of fun. i've only spent a week chillin at the barn this summer, and it's always fun to see my horsey hommies. :0D

sunday is sunday. i have a clarinet lesson at 4, but other than that, i actually don't have much going on. watch me make life interesting though. one thing you can count on melissa for is an interesting life. it probably comes from my mixture of theatre and music exposure... i'll probably obsess over every little detail of school and all that. it's not every day you start high school.

and MAN am i ready!! i have a feeling i'll be one of the people who sort of ditches the rest of their class and hangs with the upperclassmen. i've always been that kind of person, ya know? i just connect better with them. and i honestly don't mean to brag or anything when i say that i'm just sort of at their level.

ahh well, i could go on and on, but i'll give it a rest. i still haven't finished organizing my room for the new school year...

OMG! you are me freshman year! agh! scary! except without the going to church and sports and stuff. But you're exactly like me! OMG! make friends your age so you don't get all disappointed when they leave. *can't think straight* *world collapsing* *reality unmaking itself* crazy. So if you want any predictions about your life, I can probably forecast pretty accurately, just ask.
OMG! gah!

actually, i also share the sports/religious part of life. i've been going to a united methodist church since i was 3, was confirmed 2 years ago, and try never to miss a sunday. (i've been reading opening prayers and singing in the church choir and starring in the church musicals since second grade...) and you'll probably see me post about my religious life from time to time. i take it pretty seriously. as for sports, i played volleyball and soccer at school, CYSA for 3 years, club soccer for 4, and horseback ride. it doesn't look like much in writing, but that's a TON of athletics. (along with school...o and i had mrs. kirk! voice lessons, oboe/clarinet lessons, girl scouts...all that good stuff) i was/am a busy girl.

well, actually I meant that I'm an atheist (but with much faith in mankind) and have always been the kid that gets picked last in gym class. I am capable of reading your journal, silly. ;) HAHA. I was a girl scout for 1 year. That didn't last long.

gotcha. well in that case, just to even us out a little, i don't have your talent for acting. i try, and i go to workshops and stuff, but i'll never have the gift you have. and i'll probably go more towards the writing and music stuff in college. okay, it is really random and far fetched, but what if i married jeff hayman and 1)he becomes a famous musicican/composer 2)i become a famous theatre critic and 3) in our spare time we write thought provoking musicals and BOTH BECOME FAMOUS!! how cool is that? o, and on the subject of boys, i meant a REALLY HOT varsity football player (junior...so that means he's 16 or 17?...sexy sexy) at the back to school dance and we really hit it off. :-D

1) who are you?
2) what school do you go to? (that would apply because of WHICH teachers/asst. prinicipals you know)
3) since when do you have a blog and have the URL to mine?

just wondering...

awesome!! i totally feel you on the deleting so ppl don't read it thing. i have gotten in MUCHO trouble from what i've written in here. and yeah...it's usually about guys. actually, it's almost ALWAYS about guys. i mean, come on, what isn't? haha. i have mrs. williams, but i heard her say that mr. baab is really nice. as for ms. dawson, she's my assistant principal...and let's say i'm less happy to have to work with her... very cool though! we have a lot in common! hehe.
