I love most of them, especially The Eye, Newborn, and the one with the chairs. All of the places ones, many of the pets ones. Oh, heck, everything. I thought the actual winners weren't that great, but some of the 2nd and 3rd, and many of the honourable mentions were amazing. How do you judge? What do you look for?

okay. here's how i look at photos, 10-06-03 4:08pm

i was looking at the set and thinking about why i like certain ones.

i like them if they convey a certain emotion really well, or if they capture a moment in time forever and have a really strong impact. like the one of the owl looking up, the one of the dog catching a bubble in his mouth. or if they show a lot of skill, or an eye for detail. like the one of the three people with the dresses and its looking own on them (probably from a window). for some, i don't even look for skill - its just the fact that such a great moment was captured so that others could enjoy it as well.
