| Man. I shouldn've started work on this sooner. I'm taking a break right now from writing my editorial on near-monopoly corporate control over media outlets, notably the radio. I've found some really intersting stuff. Like did you know Clear Channel owns more than 8 of the radio stations in Kent County? Let's see, I've got a list somewhere... 96.1 FM WVTI 1300 AM WOOD 93.7 FM WBCT 101.3 FM WBFX 105.7 FM WOOD 1230 AM WTKG 104.5 FM WSNX 95.3 FM WBXX If you notice, all those stations suck. They all have crappy DJs that like to wake you up with their intulectual disscussions about why men fart more than women and such. And then every five minutes they play an advertisment for their station proclaiming its diversity and choice of genre, inbetween commercials that arn't even half entertaining. Then every 45 minutes or so they play some dry piece of electronically edited crap. Isn't music supposed to be one of the highest and most staggeringly beautiful and moving forms of communication? They are destroying it... oh well, we've all probably heard about Neo Jerusalem. I mean the physical one. Then everything will be perfect, we'll have no more corruption or greed or half-baked efforts. And we'll be with Jesus. I gotta get hoping about that more... I'm so tired. I wanna go ta bed. Drat, my rittings giong bad... o no... |
