Subject: A Website for Kelly and Anyone Else Who Cares
http://www.3wk.com/ Its a cool station- they call themselves the internet underground radio station. They play mostly indie music (folk rock) and its pretty cool. I just wrote a story about a turnip vine. It's really good, if I do say so myself. I was proud of it, until... I got to thinking- what am I trying to do? My writings may be all good right now, and I may get a good grade, and Mr. G might really like it, and the class might be stunned at my intulectualism, but then in the end, its just a bunch of ink on paper... and once I present, even if Mr. G thinks I'm cool afterward, and everyone else does, someday they'll die, and I'll die, and the paper will decompose, and then what becomes of everything I've been working for? Basically, God's giving me a wake-up call, I guess. I was so proud of myself and what I did but when I look at it, its nothing. Like in that Ballydowse song- "only what's eternal will pass through the flames." (I wish I could remember a Bible verse, but I'm sure there's one like that.) And what about all this music I've been obssessed with lately? And how I write all these poems? What am I aming for? Basically, I need your guy's help... how do you make somthing last eternally? I've heard people all the time say, "do it for God", but what does that mean? I know God's the focus of the equation... Y'all have a good night.
