Current mood: disappointed |
|
Recent events cause me to question my morals and my beliefs. When a friend engages in illicit activities that I don't neccessarily approve of - and when that friend lies about it (if it's even true) - what am I to do? Or moreso, when the person engages in activites that they once looked down upon other people for doing...does that make them a hypocrite? If it is true, I just feel more alone in my morals. To be honest, I am disappointed in too many people right now. Perhaps I believed in a false conception that people could remain "innocent."...that people were stronger than they really were. As my sister may have acurately stated: "[that person] is acting like a prep." Conversely, I must question if how I live my life is really worth it. Why don't I just go out and get drunk, smoke weed, and have sex while I'm at it? Things are upside down and I just don't know. I really could use a [new?] friend right now. | |

Anonymous | 11-01-03 5:33pm just remeber that u always have friends but its up to u to remeber who they are. not all of us have changed even if were not around like we used to be. |

Randomperson | 11-02-03 6:53pm Hypocrisy... it's in every one of us. but- it doesn't make it right. That person is a hypocrite. |
unbleachedblond | 11-02-03 10:09pm i guess that my advice to u is this: everyone makes mistakes. and everyone, at one point in their lives, is forced to re-examine their morals. just try to maintain what u believe is right. dont follow into their path - and if anything, see if u can influence this specific person to re-think their choices. but i guess what im saying is tho we arent perfect, we shouldnt just say "screw life". maybe im being hypocritical in saying that but o well. U do what U want; what U believe will benefit U. if u think that smoking pot will somehow help ur life - then do it. but dont do it because someone is pressuring u to do it or because someone else is doing it. (fyi: im not promoting the use of illegal drugs, just trying to make a point). i kinda have an idea of who this person may be but regardless, i think that the two of u really need to address ur friendship - they shouldnt be lying to u...friends dont do that. anyways, im sry if this makes no sense - good luck! |
