| Well, we had band competition today....we all thought we were really bad, well, we were. We messed up many moves, and I thought we did pretty okay in music. Well, the judges thought we did a whole bunch better than what we did. Get this, Cedar Springs, who are the crappiest marchers in class B, got the award for best marching in class B (they give them for color guard, music, percussion and marching). Okay, if that wasn't surprising enough, guess what place we got? Well, in past years the best we have gotten is 4th or 5th out of 6 or 7 bands, ha! We got 2nd. And we only lost by .2 of a point! God, when we heard that we could have killed ourselves, or jumped off the bleachers or something. Whitehall beat us. Well, we have competition on Wednesday night and next Saturday, so we'll see how we do..cross your fingers! | |

pinkpenguin | Re: Re:, 10-12-02 8:38pm hey, did you stay and watch the video of our competition after we got back to school today? if you didnt , it was really awesome. did you know that you guys form a cross for one of the songs and then it rotates totally while staying in a cross shape. its so cool! ...i've never really been able to even watch the show, since my back is to it all. but i only noticed a few mistakes in watching the whole thing today but besides those few little things, it looked pretty awesome!... i think we're going to watch it on monday so if you didnt see it, you will. i thought it was cool. |
| m&ms487 | Re: Re: Re:, 10-13-02 6:18pm I did watch it when we got back, and it looks so much better than what we did, you can't notice the small mistakes that we make so often, and the only reason why I said we did so bad was because we messed up on about 3 pictures that are crucial to the show that we had hardly ever messed up on. It was really quite dissapointing, but at least we did the cross good, because that was one of the hardest pictures for the band to learn (I had it easy because I got to be on a hash mark!) Other than that, we did quite well, and musically it was really good. |
