| Student Killed on Way to School By Posted: 11/10/2003 Cedar Springs- A 14-year-old Cedar Springs student is dead after being hit by a pickup on the way to school. Hospital officials say Corbin Haff died at the hospital this morning around 9:30. Police say Haff was hit around 6 a.m while roller blading near the intersection of 17 Mile and Myers Lake Ave. Police say he was wearing dark clothing. Driver of the pickup was another student, a 17-year-old teenager also from Cedar Springs. (Jon Waller) This has to be VERY hard for Jon to handle. I don't think I would be able to very well. I noticed that Jon wasn't on the bus this morning, but I didn't think anything of it.... that's so sad..... |

mysticdaydream | 11-10-03 8:49pm i am heartbroken for John...way more so than i am for the kid that was hit. i couldn't handle that burden, that guilt on my conscious. i just hope to god that he comes to realize that it wasn't his fault at all. As a matter of fact...my dad almost hit him on 17 mile Friday on his way to work. |
