| A blood clot in his right arm caused the eldest Hanson brother, Isaac, to be hospitalized in New York. The thromboembolism is likely caused by strenuous activity or as a result of a previous accident. Although he’ll be spending a few days getting some supervised rest, there’s no threat to Isaac’s life. Isaac, who turned 23 on Monday, has been spending time in New York following Hanson’s acoustic tour-ending Carnegie Hall show. The reason? He’s been searching for an apartment in the SOHO/Tribeca area of the city. That’s right, Hanson fans, Isaac wants to be a Manhattanite. Pretty soon, he’ll be checking out real estate in Williamsburg and hangin’ with the hipsters at the Greenpoint Tavern. We here at ChartAttack wish Isaac a speedy recovery. Hanson’s new album, Underneath, is due for release in March, so he needs to be in tip-top shape for touring, press and, hopefully, more touring. Though I’m sure to come under attack for saying so, Isaac seemed a little tense at Hanson’s Toronto show a couple of months back. Perhaps this enforced relaxation will help him see that his talents as a singer and guitar player are good enough that he should take a deep breath once in a while. A statement on www.hanson.net requests that concerned fans not call every hospital in NY asking whether the ailing Hanson is a patient.
