Subject: Recouperation Takes A Lot Out of You
Daddy went to bring Dusty home today. I really missed him.. poor baby. Not to worry though, he stays up with the breeders (whom we bought him from) where he visits with his sweet mother and scaredy-cat sister and a bunch of other relatives and old family friends.

Sometimes I'm afraid for Dusty since we're gone so long and he doesn't really understand... but Dad just had to say something over the edge: "He's probably there wondering what he did that was so bad." Or something like that. Sorta hurt.

Well he went to get him and then stopped by the mall for actual food. Dusty stayed in the crate in the car of course. When they got home he seemed disorganized and confused, like he didn't know where he was. He didn't really recognize or greet mom but came around a bit quicker when me and Katie came down. My baby.. He seems okay now.. but must've been really scared..

It's odd though cause we used to take trips like this before.. around 10 or 12, sometimes 14 days.

He's such a sweet heart. I'll have to share pictures when I can.

With love..

The Question of the Day!
What pets do you have and why did you get them? or What pet do you want to have?

I have Sunshine and Snuggles, the infamous lovebirds that are NOT in love. Snuggles is sort of like a 5-inch long bulldog with feathers. Sunshine... well, I think his feathers are brighter than his mind. Both my little buddies. : )

Then there is the devilcat. Tiger. Rawr.

I got the birds because I ALWAYS wanted birds forever and ever and finally hounded my parents into it in 4th grade. The cat's Rachael's. 'Nough said. Never really wanted a cat, but he's here. ¬¬

I'd like to have a crow someday, but I'd need a special permit since they're wild. Smart birds, hehe. I'd also like to get a harpy eagle. I could feed it small children since there are no monkeys to eat around here. Muaha.

AHHH SPANISH! *Thwacks you on the head*

YAY! But only the small annoying children.... those certain ones.. yeah those.

You know, you should consider the whole wild bird rescue stuff. Went to one of their centers somewhere and they had crows/ravens and all kinds of eagles they were rehabilitating.

Aww, don't worry about dusty. Dogs are resilient.

OOO! GREAT question of the day! o.~ Only because I dont talk about my pets enough...

I have a dog, Sasha, who is the love of my life! ^_^ She's a pit bull/rottweiler/retriever/heinz 57 mix that I got in 8th grade. She's the smartest dog in the world.

On wednesday my mom got hershey, a beagle, who we are hoping will make more progress.. She likes tissues, and on wednesday while we were at school she toiletpapered the house. Thursday and Friday she was in her crate all day. We're still trying to figure out the best way to do this.

Then there's the cat.

Why did we get them? Well, let's go chronologically. The cat we got when I was in first grade because we had had parakeets in Pitt, and my bird died the day that we moved. I was still a little bit upset about that, because I really liked the bird. So anyway, first grade, Mrs. Hanes' class, we had "special weeks" where each day of your special week is a different thing. Like one day you bring in your favorite book and share it with the class, one day your favorite food, etc. Well, one of the days is Pet day, where you can either bring in your pet or a picture of a pet you had once. Ok, now imagine yourself as a seven year old. Do you want to show your classmates a pet, or a picture of a bird? Yea, me too. So I complained forever about not having a pet for my special week. My assigned week was the week immediately following Christmas, sorry.. holiday break. At that time, my mom worked at Fort Lauderdale Christian School, and in October, one of her students' cat had kittens. So she went and picked up the cat on Christmas eve morning before me and will were awake and drove it to the vet's to get a flea dip and a bath and stuff because she had been an outdoor kitten. We all went to Boca Greens and my mom said oh, let's go get a toy for beegee, who was a stray cat in our neighborhood that me and will would feed. So we went into the vet and they brought Trixie up on the counter. That's about it.

Now, for Sasha, you guys should ALL know that story. I begged for a dog since I could talk. I can remember when I was really little living in PA I would look out the window and if I saw anybody out on the street walking their dog I would run outside and ask if the dog bit. I've just naturally loved dogs forever. So I begged and pleaded for about 12 years, and in 8th grade my parents finally gave in. We went to the pound "just to look" and came home with sasha. A lot more issues were involved with that, but this comment is long enough. Serves you right though, Kristen, for asking this question when you knew full well that I was going to read this entry. :oP

Hershey we got on Wednesday because my mom wanted her own dog since I wont let her do anything as far as caring for Sasha. My dog. So now she has Hershey, and we're gonna teach her manners eventually...it's a long process. Sasha keeps her in line though. She bites her when she does something bad. Not hard enough to hurt her, just like a mother dog thing. Pretty funny...they team up to chase the cat. Something you have to see to get. Ok, I'm done. But once again, you got what you deserve asking this question to me, lol.
