Subject: Spanish Soap Operas

I just watched part of one. They're interesting. What I'm interested in the most though is the language. I noticed that Mexican Spanish has a lot of hard consonants, which is why I can't understand it that well. English is very soft. So is Spanish Spanish.

Yesterday was a little boring. I did homework and read through HM magazine a little. Then I got online and wasted an hour, then worked out, then took a shower and got in bed.

Today in my English class it was our turn to empty the recycling tubs. It was fun because my group got to use the elevator. Then we got the shredded parking tickets from the security office and had a fight with them while waiting for the elevator to get to the first floor. Good times.

You guys should check out this editorial by Cal Thomas in the GR Press today. It's on the second to last page of the first section and it's about the commercialization of Christmas. I couldn't have put it into better words.

So I'm not the only one who watches Spanish soap operas? They are interesting but I couldn't understand anything that was going on.
