Each day she goes on is a day that she is brave
Fighting the lie that giving up is the way
Each moment of courage her own life she saves
When she throws out the pills a hero is made

We went to Fred Meijer Gardens last night. It snowed a lot over there and it was so beautiful. I wanted to go walking on the paths back into the woods.

I love snow.

Whenever I say that everyone looks at me like I'm insane. Haven't you ever stopped and watched it fall? Haven't you ever danced in it as it fell? Haven't you ever cried as snowflakes danced on your cheeks? Haven't you ever smiled while trying to catch them on your tongue?

I grew up in Illinois and Ohio where the most snow they get is the snow we had on the ground yesterday -- just a dusting.

I love snow. I love how cold it gets and how you can see your breath. I love watching it fall and seeing each snowflake on your coat sleeve. I love gasping at its beauty.

I love winter.

We get cynical as we get older. We become conformed to the idea that certain types of weather are bad. We lose our appreciation for the rain and for snow. It's a slow dwindling down to a deappreciation for all good things God has made.

So, my point... don't conform.
