If Tim is as shy and quiet as you say he is then you should know this…. opposites DO attract! I think you need to give him time to think about this all. Give him a chance to think about all the things that are coming at him. It takes guys more time for the thought process! And maybe he has never had a girl like him before so he doesn’t know how to act in response. I think it will all work in time. So just kick back and relax this Christmas break. Try not to think about Tim too much. And when you go back act casual and confident in front of him. After the break he may act differently towards you in a good way. Just keep in mind these few things and I am for sure things will go better.
