Subject: . . . and it tears me up
i don't even know what to say to this
i guess we can't change the things that are going to happen, but maybe we can try to look out for you the best we know how

i keep seeing that add with the girl on the dock watching her friend drowned, and i can't help but feel that i'm the one standing there helpless. too afraid to say anything.

how can i show you that i love you and care for you without sounding like your mother?
i don't think less of you i simply want you to know that i care about you and i don't want to see anything happen to you. i don't want us to fall apart even more.
you say now that you're in control, but we have all seen people and friendships fall apart.

what more is there really to say?

the truth is that sometimes telling a person they need to stop (no matter how nice you do it) only pisses them off and makes them want to do it more. sometimes you have to let a person choke a little and let them save thereself. not always, but sometimes that's just how it works.

it sounds cruel as fuck, but the truth is that experience is often times the best teacher.

Jessica, I love you with all my heart and I always will, no matter what you think.
Ryan is exactly right. It took some time for me to end it, but things are finally done now. You don't have to worry. I love you so much. :-) Thank you for always caring, and I want you to know that I will always care about you. I just needed some time to learn for myself.
But that's done now. I hope you know....
