Maybe it's not nearly as bad as it used to be, but it's still a civil rights issue! Look at "Don't ask, Don't tell," that discriminates against gays and lesbians in the military, just like African Americans were once descriminated in the military. Maybe gay people don't have to sit on the back of a bus, but I'm sure some people would try to make that happen if it was easier to tell if someone wasn't straight!!! Emmitt Till's murder, Mathew Shepard's murder, both hate crimes! I'm so happy you don't care. I'm lucky to live in a mostly open-minded area, but a lot of people aren't! And you want to say that gay marriage will destroy America??? What about you?!?! |

kiwi | assholes, 08-25-04 2:07pm You jsut have a way of finding the most obscure articles that will iritate you, don't you liz. Hmmm well it's true. There is a ton of disrimination. What he is saying about the seperate entrances and buses and all that shit. Yes, that probably won't ever happen to gays and lesbians because you can't see that on the outside. And if it ever did many would pretend to be straight jsut to be with the majority. But then you look at the boy scouts. Some boys wanted to kill themselves because they were gay because of the boy scouts and church. It's a new type of discrimination. Making the person do the churches, the boy scouts, the radicals dirty work themselves. You probably didn't see this but on road rules extreme there was a gay man adn he felt ortrisied from the group because the guys wanted him to warn them when he talked about guys. He didn't do that when they talked about girls.
