Does anyone know where I can get my computer fixed? Or someone who will fix it for me, and do a good job? I'll pay good money. I need to have more RAM installed, to eliminate mad crazy pop-ups that occur on startup, and make the Sims actually work without freezing up. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. |

michellestar | 06-26-04 7:35pm Well, for RAM you just gotta open it up and put it in. But as for the rest, I'd just reformat and then use Modzilla Firefox instead of IE because it blocks popups much better. Things should run more smoothly. Just download it, it's free. |
jedibumblebee | Re:, 06-26-04 8:12pm its not internet popups....its like "do you want to change your settings?" "do you want to install your printer every time you start up even though it works?" "do you want to check for updates?" sort of stuff |

jedibumblebee | Re: Re:, 06-27-04 10:54am remember, i'm not a moron. i've gotten rid of everything i could get rid of. And I DID install the RAM, I just couldnt get the computer to recognize that it was there. The biggest problem is that it tries to install my printer EVERY time I start up and I can't get it to stop. But I';m not stupid. I've had some friends look at it too and no one can really figure out what's wrong. |
Tuwang | 06-28-04 11:22am RAM is indeed easy to install, just make sure you got the right kind. Newer systems tend to use DDR Ram. ALso, more Ram isn't going to help stop pop-ups. For that I suggest getting googles popup blocker. I have it and have managed to block 396 popups in the past 12 hours. |
