Subject: Fucked UP. HIGHLY WORTH YOUR TIME
So I had this dream, and it was just way to fucked up so I had to write it down:

It starts out I'm at school. In the Gymnasium. there appears to be about a thousand people there. I'm talking a shitload of people for that gym. So ofcourse I'm curious as to why there is such a massive number of people there. I go into the hallway thats connected to the gym and who do I see? none other than Brandon Boyd. my first reaction? "well fuck me , if it isn't Brandon Boyd". However, the entire band isn't there. The DJ isn't DJing, he's got a bass.and the guitar player, bass player, and drummer aren't there. I ask Brandon where most of his band is, and he replies, " well, sometimes they just decide not to come". And I'm not going to arguing with him, He's fucking Brandon Boyd. Just then The Psuedo band runs into the gymnasium. I'm all excited, but ofcourse I have to pee really bad. So I go to the bathroom, and come back out. They're playing whatever their new single is called. Brandon's doing the same dance that he does in the video. I'm thinking, Kind of Lame, but everybody is so into them and they are cheering so loud that I can barely hear the band. Somehow they are done after one song and come back out to the hallway. I follow them into a room with an incense burner in the middle of a circle made up of six large pillows. (This is in the room that would be the auxillary gym in reality, ofcourse in my dream it's all decked out in coolness, lot's of blue silkish kind of stuff draped from the walls. The room is lit with candles, all laying on the floor, making a shape around the circle made by the large fluffy silk feather pillows). We all enter and I notice that my clothes have changed into sort of a blue robe that you would see in movies about medevil china. The band also has aquired these blue robes. We all sit down , one to a pillow. I sit directly across from Brandon. while there sits two to each side of me on the remaining pillows. thus starts the conversation. We're all sitting with our legs toghther, on our calves with our hands on our waists. All of them have almost blank faces, they all stare forward with their eyes closed, but brandon looks at me directly in the eye with no emotion on his face. This was like, Wayne's World shit, I couldn't believe I remebered this at first.

"I do believe that you have come here for further wisdom in the art of music." sudenly brandon sounds incredibly wise and cool

"I must know, How is it that you always get people so... excited about hearing you play?"

and then comes the wierd, thoughtfull response.

" Kevin, you are trying too hard, and yet not trying hard enough. When you are playing for people, you feel as though it is your only chance, and if you mess up your only chance, you will never get it again... I.E. Mistakes cannot be made at all. Now I am not saying that mistakes should be made when playing, and this is the cureall to all bands, I am simply saying that if you try SO hard to correct these mistakes when you are playing, it will only make things worse. But, however, perfection is needed in order for anyones musical vision to be correctly portrayed, and I sense aggrivation in you. Music is something used to soothe one's mind and soul, so in your case, perfection must be attained. In this sense Kevin Jerald Cuppett, you are not trying hard enough. This directly correlates with what I have already said"

"how, I mean, there is nothing I'd want more than to play music. I love it when it comes out right."

" it is not that you don't want it, and aren't trying, but your not trying for the right goal in which perfection can be attained. Tell me, why is it , do you think, that people tap their feet when a blues band is playing, or dance in almost unison when a techno song is playing, or start a moshpit when a fast song has begun."

" Please enlighten me"

" It's because they can see it, and they feel it. They need nothing more than for the beauty of the music being played so they can let their bodies stack away what they know as normal for the 4 minutes it is playing. The difficult part for you is being the one who must create this movement and image of the music among the people. Look."

he then lights the incense. Smokes starts to rise. He put's his hand on the hot cherry of the incense and closes his eyes. This is , probably the most trippy and strangest part. He starts humming "Here In My Room" and when he would start singing he raise his hand and I can her the song as smoke overtakes me, it smelled like strawberry shortcake. I'm then in a room sitting on a bed. And a girl walks in. (take note the song is still playing) And she comes up to me and hugs me, all in slow motion almost, like a movie. The buildup in the song comes and she starts to lean in to kiss me (The buildup is the part where the lyrics are "If the world could fall apart, in a fiction worthy wind, no I wouldn't change a thing now that your here") Right when it hit's the chorus the image dissapears and I'm back in the room with brandon, him staring me down like before.

" What did you see?" He Asks

" What I always see, me in a room with a girl on a bed"

" Could you feel everything in it, the breath she emits? her body heat? her physical being?"

"yes"

" but tell me this, who was the girl?"

" I do not remember, it's almost like she didn't have a face"

" Exactly, the face for the image of that song has not been made for you yet. The song thus provides the image of your desire to put a face on it. I assuredly say to you, this image will be filled soon. However, that is not the point. If Chris were to listen to this song he'd likely see Katie, if Brad were to listen to the song he'd most likely see Kelly. The way I made the song was so that anybody who listened to it could feel the song on his or her own level, it is universal"

I could feel myself giving him a questioned look

" Why do you think it felt so good when you guys played fat chance? Because you could feel yourselves telling everyone to fuck the bullshit, and that was the message you were trying to get accross. You must do the same with the other songs. Make them universal so everyone can feel them, this will make people enjoy your music"

" so... Don't think so hard about what I'm playing , feel it, and make it so other's can feel it in their own sense..."

Brandon nods

"what if some of the people in the band aren't grasping a part like I am, but I can feel it?"

" The young must grow from weak to strong"

I give him a questioned look

" Unless you strike them in the head with an axe, they will not forget alot, have patience"

"alright"

I then decide that it's time for me to leave... so I get up and walk out, I hear brandon say as I leave:

"Remember what I have said, write it down, and know that we will meet again when you have futher questions"

then as I'm leaving everything turns white and I wake up...

now tell me that wasn't fucked up... and you may not think it but I remembered everything he said... so I came down here and wrote it all down before I forgot... amazing...
