is there a certain type of blank cd that i need so that the cds i burn will play on a regular radio, not just my computer?

because i have the RW ones. ReWritable.

Pretty sure they have to be CD-Rs to work in a conventional cd player.

Yeah, thats what I was beginning to think, but then one that I burnt off a regular cd worked. And one I burnt off of songs I'd downloaded worked in my portable cd player, so I don't know what to think.

cd-r and cd-rw will both work, as long as the cd player you're using will play them.

but not all players have the capacity to read burned discs.

if they don't play, it's not because they're burned, it's because the player won't read them.

although, if you have a finnicky player, sometimes it helps to burn them at a slower speed, and it is easier for the player to read the disc.

to play them on a regular CD player you have to convert them to WAV format instead of MP3
