| Subject: Last night was really cool. |

| This week is culture week at OU and last night was the International cafe thingy where they had some food from different cultures (egg roles, some weird ham roll and chocolet cupcakes). They had music (they played some of my Japanese CD's!) and the different culture clubs had posters and some even had dance or singing presentation. Looking around I finally found the people I have been looking for the whole time I've been here: nerds. More specifically, anime and Japanese nerds. So I quickly found the Japanese Club booth thingy and got talking to one guy almost immediently. I was introduced to his friends and we were talking for a while, and I met others that are taking Japanese classes and into Japanese culture. I finally met the Japanese foreign exchange student. His name is Tomo and he loves J-pop and anime, including Hamasaki Ayumi and InuYasha! It was really cool to talk to him and I have his dorm number and email address if I ever need a Japanese fix. (Yes, I'm addicted. What's it to YOU? O_o) I also met a nice guy named Steven and I have his email address too. He has a girlfriend whom I met as well, and they are both pretty cool. But as I said, nerds. Oh and I talked to Sara and Lisa from my Japanese class. They were both in second year when they graduated, and I think they were in the split class during my second. But Sara's major is East Asian Studies Japan as well, and she, Lisa, and two of their other friends are sharing an apartment a little ways from school. The other girls graduated with me as well and were in Japanese too come to think of it. But yeah, last night was very cool, I stayed to talked to everyone for three hours or so and would love to hang out with them again. They also gave me great advise for my Japanese class, so I think I'm going to take the 115 class, just because I'm a little rusty and 214 might be a little too much for me right now.
