| Well today i have been a bit bored so i started reading the latest about the next gen game consoles. As things seem sony is going to be up shit creek without a paddle if most of the "rumors" are true. Xbox is to be unveiled at a show in january of 05' , it is set to be released long before the ps3 giving them the sales advantage. Some great titles are already in the making for the next gen xbox. This was taken from an article from last monthes game informer. Our sources have revealed to us the titles that you can expect to see at launch: Perfect Dark Zero, a new Project Gotham Racing title, and a new game from Epic (published by Microsoft) that is based on the the Unreal 3 engine. In an interview with Game Informer Online, Cliff Bleszinski stated that this title won't be a first-person shooter, and would stress co-op play. The Xbox 2 is fully expected to appear before the end of 2005, and be out several months (if not years) ahead of the release of Sony's PlayStation 3. Rumors are also flying about a couple other high profile games: Half-Life 2 is likely to be among the first releases, and the big M has hinted that a little game called Halo 3 may release the same day that the PlayStation 3 launches. Sources tell us that Microsoft wants to keep rolling out a steady stream of quality titles right up until the launch of the rival platform. If thats true then things look good for xbox already. but there's more. Nintendo has plans to release its next generation console roughly around the same time as sony but has a completly different strategy that has lots of people wondering. They say that the new console will change the way games are played, and or revolutionise the gaming industry, hence the codename for the new console is "Revolution" (quote) "Better technology is good, but not enough. Today's consoles already offer fairly realistic expressions so simply beefing up the graphics will not let most of us see a difference. So what should a new machine do? Much more. Just thought anyone who is into gaming which is 99% of the people on my friends list.. would find this interesting. In my opionion. the Xenion *xbox 2* is going to do very well due to the new marketing strategy microsoft is using. Ill see you in line next year at best buy when its released. :D ~box |

| Anonymous | 12-01-04 7:36pm I bet there will be a huge price increase. 350 - 400 dollars perhaps. Which would be shitty for the consumers but people will still buy it.
