I couldn't resist adding the latest tidbit to what I posted last night: Inuyasha turned to face Kagome’s father, only to find that the man was not there. He turned back to Kagome. “Kagome…why are you so big?” When she whimpered and looked about ready to either cry or kill him—he wasn’t sure which—he changed his tactics, “Oi! I didn’t mean it like that! I meant…well, I’ve seen pregnant girls before, but never that pregnant! Is something wrong?” “My father didn’t tell you?” Kagome frowned and rubbed her belly absentmindedly, all anger and upset suddenly forgotten. “Nope,” Inuyasha answered as he approached her nest-like arrangement of pillows and blankets. He sat next to her, unconsciously sweeping his eyes over her and taking in the changes pregnancy had wrought on her: her abdomen obviously, her ankles, her br— She smiled at him them; a nervous smile, but a smile nonetheless. “I’m carrying three for you, Inuyasha.” His hands were suddenly all over her middle, not even trying to hide his concern anymore. “Fuck, Kagome! How the hell do three fit in there? I’ve never known anyone to have more than one!” He’d heard of twin births a few times, but he’d never seen anyone have twins. Honestly, he had always admitted to himself that he didn't know much about these things; and he was scared. “Are you okay? Is having three okay?” “Well, Kaede said she’d never seen it happen before. But she’s heard of it, and said that it’s just rare,” Kagome responded, quelling his panicked touch by covering his hands with hers. “She also said it was a good omen.” I can't decide yet if I like this portion or not. What thinkest thou? |

Anonymous | 12-02-04 6:44pm I think it's pretty good. I guess it depends on where you want to go. I would hang on to it for now and just keep writing if you can. You can mess around with it when you finish. ~_^
