me: we should go stand with the couples.
zed: yeah, but first wait for the sand nigger and the white girl* to finish.

one good thing came out of senior pictures: great pictures taken not by the photographer, but by AC, douglas, 7amani and others.

*sand nigger = nashmi; white girl = andy.

You don't know how many times all the Syrian kids would be making too much noise in the basement while the adults were playing cards till the wee hours of the morning, when someone would come down and scream that at us..."SHOO HAD!?!" The kids would scatter and all would be well in the world but, damn, that phrase brings back such memories.
