threshershark | 10-04-05 7:57pm I like to think I am growing in knowledge... I think, simple as it sounds, that reading is the answer to that problem. |
sike-a-delic_grasshopper | Re:, 10-05-05 11:16am That's not what I was getting at.......but ok. |
threshershark | Re: Re:, 10-05-05 1:04pm Oh, sorry. I am dense. |
threshershark | Re: Re:, 10-05-05 1:24pm Are you talking historically about us as a nation then? |
sike-a-delic_grasshopper | Re: Re: Re:, 10-05-05 5:13pm I was talking about the human race as a whole. In retrospect it was rather ambiguous though. |
threshershark | Re: Re: Re: Re:, 10-05-05 5:30pm heh heh, I just couldn't see the whole picture I guess. Do elaborate though, I'm interesting in your thoughts on the subject... I've met some people that think that modern man is the end-all and that our ancestors knew nothing in comparison... |
sike-a-delic_grasshopper | Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:, 10-06-05 2:15pm So much knowledge and wisdom has been destroyed and I think it might be essential to our long-term survival. The ancients didn't have to worry about global warming or nuclear war but they still had art, music, mathematics, etc. And they knew so many things that were either forgotten or deliberatley gotten rid of.
