i haven't actually made a real post in here in forever. class was cancelled. life is busy but boring. wake up-drive-yellow line-purple/red line-class-class-red line-yellow line-drive-home-eat-change-drive-work-break-work-eat-drive-sleep...start over. i have to see ragtime and write a paper about it so i can pass my class cuz i've missed too many days. christina (in my acting and makeup class) already failed...she's on the verge for makeup too. im looking at these pictures on the wall. all the artwork on the walls here is student done. the paper that says this kid's name is on the other side but i dont want to go look at it. i like looking at these pictures. they're of the city, so there are buildings and cars and powerlines. there are people and asphalt and broken sidewalks. but yet, they're peaceful. it's strange to see these things stopped and silent rather than zooming past with the click click of the track and a newspaper rustling. i smell nothing instead of morning coffee or leftover hobo or puke-clean up chemicals. i love the city, but i love the silence, too. i want to create something like that. something someone can look at and just love looking at. or something that makes someone feel, rather than just, that's nice, jorie...you really did a great job. woo. for some reason, a simple compliment isnt good enough. i sort of want to do the nipple jesus thing: set up a camera and watch people's reactions. i'd like to be creating stuff too. i think it's the best teacher, but i havent been able to do much thinking or buying materials. i really want to do some printmaking, but i dont have a press and i dont know where the columbia ones are and if i'd be able to use them. i like the mess of it. the fact that you cant possibly stay clean whilst making it. i want to take pictures, too. i know basically nothing about photography but some things here in the city are so intriguing to me. like stalactites in the subway tunnel at roosevelt station. or the way the faucet has rusted in the girls bathroom on the tenth floor of 624 s michigan. every time i go to those places i expect them to be gone. it's strange to see them stick around for some reason, even though i know they logically cant go anywhere. i dont even know what time my next class starts. 9:30? 10? click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click but iuno wha to put there you could put a blue background just a ... hah hah ha h ah clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack clack .............inhale............exhale click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click .....zzzzip................................................rustle .................bing bing.......................................bing bing ..............................vvverer vverer life is interesting in the library... |
