I'm overly excited. My hair is straight. I got a perm yesterday, well, a relaxer which helps straighten my hair. I love it.

hi, forgive me for the unexpected comment, but i was wondering if it was necessary to go to a salon to get hair relaxer. also, how long does it stay? i really know nothing on the subject.

I leave unexpected comments on this thing all the time. Don't feel bad. And yes, it was necessary. I've got really wavy hair and I absolutely hate it so they gave me a hair relaxer which actualy worked. All I have to do is get my hair wet, add some hair stuff so my hair won't get ruined from all the heat and when my hair is dry I take the hair straightener through it just in case if I missed anything. Works wonders actually. I noticed a difference. And I'm not sure how long it lasts.

well thanks!

my friend got this relaxer at walmart called "dark and lovely," and it killed him dead. it worked for a good day or two, and then his hair was so much worse than before. guess salon is just the way to go.

yea, if you go to a beauty school place, it's cheaper. Salon price would be more expensive. But if you've got the money, I say go salon.
