Not sure if you've stumbled across it yet, but http://www.edmunds.com/new/index.html is a good site for a lot of info. They list a lot about depreciation and all sorts of costs associated with owning cars. http://www.iihs.org/ is a good site for looking at crash test results. Their standards are a lot higher than the governments. Don't forget to look at insurance rates either. They vary widely based on seemingly nothing.
