The soup turned out okay, I guess. It didn't really taste like anything at all. Well, no. It tasted like a bunch of things but none of them were particularily good or delicious.

It was a decent first try. Especially since I had no idea what I was doing. At all. And I just threw things together.

I think my dad misses me a lot. He said that there are cooking lessons at D&W we can do together and we can go to one of those places where you make a week's worth of meals. His excuse was that Nick mentioned I don't cook but I really know that he misses me a bunch.

In other news, GHIII is awesome. Nick and I did career co-op and it was a bunch of fun.

heres the recipie, directly from an email from my granny. hope it turns out good for you.

Chop up an onion and some celery (including the leaves) in the soup pot and add some chicken broth, garlic and bay leaf. Simmer for at least 30 minutes or so. Open whatever canned beans you want to use, drain and rinse them before adding to the soup. I use kidney, white and pinto beans. I also like to add a package of frozen limas. Add whatever sausage you want (I like to use kibalsa), and at least one can of diced tomatoes including the juice (I like to use tomatoes that say "pasta ready" and are seasoned with Italian herbs). Add more chicken broth if more volume is desired. Heat thoroughly to make sure sausage is hot and cooked. Garlic bread goes well with the soup if you don't care too much about carbs and fat.
