Morning classes suck. But Its not so hard anymore, which is good. At least I dont have any 8am classes.

My roomies and I are signing a lease today/tomorrow for our apartment next year. They are really nice, brand new in fact. Three floors, four bedrooms, three bathrooms, diningroom, kitchen, and livingroom. Its kind of like the apartment I have right now, only better. The best thing about it is they are leasing it for $290 a month, which is amazing because it's basicly on campus. The year after is going to be $360 a month. Woo for me.

Opera rehersal tonight.

Watch your ass dear.

I'm presuming your talking about Western Islands, because it fits the circumstances, and the rent is identical.

Take pictures of anything that they could nab your security deposit for, and for christ sakes - pay attention when it says "No parties" on the back of the lease.

They mean that quite literally - and you !dont! want to have to cough up the 300 dollar per person fine for having a few people over at your house.

READ YOUR LEASE! - And pay attention. And get a bar for the door so the creepy bastards cant come into your place without knocking.

Their not bad people if everything goes perfect, but you dont want to give them reason to fark with you - because they will.

Well yeah.

I live in Deerfield right now. It is run by united apartments who are the same people who will be running Western Islands. The lease is exactly the same as the one I am in right now (Ashley is also in Deerfield, so she is also familiar). I know about the security deposit too, its one of the first things I did when I moved in, made sure I documented everything. See, I have lived in apartments since I was toddler. It was not till my later years that I even lived in a house, so I am very familiar with apartments and all the shit that goes with it.

Things don’t have to perfect. They just have to go moderately ok for things to be better then me living at the dorms.

p.s. If things go half as well at western islands as here, I will be extremely happy, and it will still be 100 times better then living at the dorms.

The dorms are in no way a high bar to jump over - but do take care regardless.
