Hey.

So.

Nick needs a paintball gun.

Tips?

I do not want to spend a lot of money. He's just going to play with people at work once it warms up.

If it is ever not winter again.

Does he need protective gear? I know nothing about this...thing.

Thanks.

I love you kids.

Ma'am, I have all the advice you need.

What is your price range and where will he be playing.

If he doesn't have a mask already, don't cheap out on buying one, a decent one isn't cheap but its comfortable and you can wear it all day.

I've been playing since 9th grade, i know my way around a paintball field and inside and out of a marker.

that was the plan here, a marker built like a brick shithouse that is pretty much maintenance free.

Sir, I was hoping you will be able to help me.

I do not know where he'll be playing. He's terrible at getting specifics about things.

We have zero supplies. I don't want to spend 300 bucks but I don't know what I'm getting into. At all.

somthing like this would be right up his alley, gun itself isn't much to look at, but it's one of the most reliable guns ever designed, i could pull mine out of my bag right now air it up and it'd fire like the day it was new.

I'd reccoment that gun be run on Nitrogen/HPA(high pressure air) a tank starts at around $60 and works it way up.

a decent hopper is going to start at around $40.

a decent mask is around $60.

mind you this is all gear you would buy at a paintball store or the internet, stay away from buying anything at wal-mart or any of your big box stores (they don't know their ass from a hole in the ground about anything) Paint may be a bit more at paintball store, but at a paintball store you know your going to be getting good paint that hasn't sat on a skid for months before being sold.

with mask, tank, maker, hopper, and paint your probably near the $300 mark for something pretty decent.

If he buys an automag, i've got the parts he'll need to run it on CO2 if you want to run a cheap gas system, well, i'm pretty sure i've got the stuff to do it among what i have (i've got alot, believe me)

also have him check out http://www.automags.org/forums these guys are great with newbies and won't flame them.

if you need any more help, let me know, i'm happy to help.
