| If you would like to be a punk, just follow this guide! It's that simple! First! Walk (yes, walk..all the punks walk, didn't you know that?) to your local mall and head straight to the Hot Topic store. Once there, pick out a variety of band tshirts, preferably black ones. After you have bagged a number of those, look for a pair of plaid bondage pants, preferably red. Now, pick out a spiked belt and about fifty of those plastic bracelets that tie together. Finally, pick out a pair of Converse. BLACK Converse. They must be black! This is important! You can get high tops or low tops, but since most of the PUNK RAWKERS have low tops, get those. Before you check out, pick out a few HARDCORE patches and buttons to adorn your clothes and backpack. Once you have all these items, go to the cash register and pay pay pay! Now, walk out of Hot Topic and go to the nearest bathroom to change immediately into your new duds. Once done with that, proceed to the local Hollister. Walk inside and note the PUNK RAWK band playing on the store's sound system. Smile in appreciation. Go to the cash register, because that's where the PUNK RAWK cds are located. Pick up a copy of each of the following: The Used, Something Corporate, Trust Company, The Starting Line, New Found Glory, and Sugarcult. Once you have paid for all these, you can go home and pat yourself on the back. You are now a TRUE PUNK RAWKER. From now on, be sure to write ANARCHY symbols on anything and everything, because that's what the PUNK RAWK SCENE is really all about. The end. Okay kids, that was a very sarcastic thing written by yours truly. If you're going to steal it, credit me or suffer the wrath of my psychotic forks. Yeah. Also, I do indeed like some of the bands whose names I wrote above, so don't give me crap about that. But it's pathetic. This is what 'the scene' has come to these days. The scene used to be cool, but now it is more about style and fashion rather than the music. I'm all about the music. Screw the style. |
