In short: ethics and personality. They tried to tell me it was performance based, but each example he gave me was flimsy. I had a response for each one so he'd try something else. After about 5, he just stopped and told me it wasn't working and I needed to get my belongings. Oh, but they'll be my reference! Isn't that nice of them?

I'm afraid I won't get very far in jobs because of personality. This solidifies that and it's something I refuse to fake.

I'm already trying. Sent in my app yesterday. Hopefully, I can get a job and it won't matter, but we'll see.

Yeah, it's really bullshit. Maybe it's different in NE. You should look into it. I think it's called a no-fault state. That's why FL can fire you for no reason. It's not in every state.

Yeah. California is on your side. I'm not sure about NE, but I can tell you if it doesn't work out there, I'll be out and on to the next place.
