The doctors think my dad might have prostate cancer. I was reading up on it today and nowhere did I read that it could be fairly survivable the only thing I read was that people can live up to a couple years after they are diagnosed. I really don't want to lose my dad the same way I saw my grandfather go.

WYCE is failing me and playing of all things, the Dave Matthews Band. Could they play anything more establishment? Fergie maybe. But the day I hear Fergie on WYCE is the day I.....stop listening to WYCE probably.

I don't know why I'm still awake. My sleep schedule is so weird these days. But probably once I start working it'll get normal-ish.

[edit]
So funny story. Apparently I had some appointment with manpower today which I'm assuming they told me about but I forgot to write it down. So anyway I missed the appointment and now I'm out of a job. Before I even started. But oh well, sometimes you just suck at getting jobs. If any of y'all know anywhere that's hiring I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know.

I got a call asking me to work today from four to nine. So I'm going into work. I'm such a push-over, but I need the money. I listened to seventies rock and wrote all day. I think I produced some good stuff. I have even more of an idea where it's heading. Can't say anything about it yet, but maybe I'll have a few people read it and tell me what they think when I'm finished. Yes. That's just what I'll do.

Not a day goes by...

I use to have all the right words...
Last night, in that moment before sleep comes, I had the perfect sentence. It's lost now.

I spent the night at Rueben's. The gazebo. It was entertaining.

Why do I always wake up early when I don't want to? I'm glad I did, because as the filtered morning sun came streaming into the gazebo, I looked up and watched a hummingbird gracefully flit around a tree branch with newly blossomed leaves. The sounds of the morning were almost deafening, and I layed back down, closed my eyes, and smiled to myself.

Summer is finally here.

My dad also went into the hospital Sunday. HE called me on Wednesday and told me.

Thanks for keeping me updated, Mom.

Next week is our last week of classes and then we have exams then a week of nothing before HOME SWEET HOME.

ah the war on drugs!
So mostly some cop in Dearborn confiscated some weed, made brownies on it, and called 911 cause he thought he OD'd on it. Here's the link if anyone cares, its short and entertaining.

http://www.mg.co.za/articlepage.aspxarea=/breaking_news/other_news/&articleid=308026

Too bad you can't OD on weed. It's never happened anywhere ever. And if you're a cop and you don't know this you really should not be a cop anywhere ever. He just couldn't handle his spacecakes, the pussy.

So there's another arguement for legalization. I mean, I always had the hunch that half the time confiscated weed goes into the cops' personal stash. So if cops are smoking it than why can't the rest of us?

In other news, manpower called today and offered me a job at some plastics company. I get to make screwdriver handles. Woo hoo!

So since I've been home I've done nothing but wait around for manpower or forge to call me back so I can get a job. I can't really apply for much else besides factory jobs on account of my dreads. But even before I had dreads I always had a hell of a time finding a job. I'm beginning to think I'm just downright unfuckingemployable.

All I want is to live my life easy and free
I don't need no human bullshit

I'm getting back in the swing of things. Working and all. Final grades are in: all A's and one A-. It was worth all the freaking out and late night studying I did.

Now, instead of analyzing Byron or Faulkner, I listen to old stinky men bitch that they got overcharged for their watermelon.

Who said life isn't fair?

I never update here anymore, cause no one ever reads this. I feel that honestly when I update I'm updating for myself because people BARELY comment or read. I'm a pretty busy person but basically I try and get on once a week to comment on all the recent entries. I don't know, I kinda just feel that updating this is pointless.

I'm home. I feel like I'm in high school again.

In other news, I'll be able to graduate college in four years instead of five.

Who's up for saving $7000? ME!

So, this was a really exciting night for me.

I discovered Mike Gravel. I am in love with his stances on the issues. I think he might be a bit too extreme for the general population, which leads me to believe that he won't make it past the primaries, unfortunately.

Then, when I was reading the postings on Mike Gravel's site, I stumbled across Sugar City Cane. It's a company that is totally green. They produce ethanol by growing sugar cane with hydroponics on acre wide buoyant platforms in the sea near the equator. You should definitely check it out! The site takes a little while to load because of the background, but you can read the text if you highlight it with your mouse while you're waiting for it to load. This could be one of those great solutions to peak oil, while at the same time reducing global warming. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I am done with exams. My brain hurts too much to describe. I just wrote ten pages (front and back = one page) for my two english exams that were back to back. My hand hurts. I am done.
