| Bio: | Once upon a time, a dragon walked the land. It was centuries old when, its bretheren already long gone, it charred a flock of sheep and the roof of one hut in desperation and a knight on a chestnut horse rode out finally to meet it. They fought on a plain in the late afternoon, a long meadow of wispy golden weeds flat save for a solitary tree. The sun descended lazily, indifferent to their struggle, and glinted as it set off of the knight's slick, dark armor and the dragon's scales, which were blue and copper and gleamed. It had all but touched the tops of the far-off craggy mountains when the battle came to an end. The knight's sword kissed across the dragon's throat just as the great spike on the dragon's tail punched through the plate metal wrapping the knight's chest. They slumped, both of them, softly down. The knight pulled off her helm, and the dragon turned her deep green eyes, and they looked at each other for a long moment before the blackness had them: one of them the first of her kind, the other the last. |
