ne andy, recognise this?
I was patrolling a Pachinko
Nude noodle model parlor in the Nefarious zone
Hanging out with insects under ducting
The C.I.A was on the phone
Well, such is life

Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair, oh

Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair

Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair

For the Zapatistas I'll rob my sisters
Of all the curtain and lace

Down at the bauxite mine
You get your own uniform
Have lunchtimes off
Take a monorail to your home

Checkmate, baby
God bless us and our home
Where ever we roam
Now take us home, flaquito

Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
The flower looks good in your hair
Latino caribo, mondo bongo
Nobody said it was fair

note: sorry, it wasn't *mummble mummble mummble* SEX. it was something about "intersect".

even though i have no idea what it was ever like to not have what i have today, i appreciate the united states' struggle for freedom and democracy in past years. our country is not close to perfect, and a lot of us are jaded by the way things have been handled by our government - especially just the past 5 years. even so, we are all extremely lucky to be born into a country like ours, and i hope we don't lose sight of that.

don't let today be like every other holiday we celebrate - an excuse to drink - try to remember how amazing it is to live and breathe the way we do.

what is similar about music and life?
"well, when you think about it, what's the first thing that happens when a baby is born? they smack the baby on the rear-end and the baby cries. it's the sound, it's the breath of life. and everything we do has a sonic component. so, we're just organizing that sound into something that's sort of representative of the range of human emotions."

since the chicago tribune website is being a fool, here's the article i wanted you guys to see:

Billy Corgan wants his Pumpkins back

Published June 21, 2005

Fresh on the heels of the release of his first solo album, "TheFutureEmbrace," Chicago rocker Billy Corgan says he's breathing new life into an old dream: The Smashing Pumpkins.

In a full-page advertisement in today's Chicago Tribune marking the release of the new CD, Corgan says, "For a year now I have walked around with a secret, a secret I chose to keep. But now I want you to be among the first to know that I have made plans to renew and revive The Smashing Pumpkins. I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams."

The Smashing Pumpkins broke up in 2000 after playing a final gig at The Metro. The band racked up record sales (more than 25 million, with 1995's "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" selling 4.7 million in the U.S.) and critical acclaim (two Grammys and several nominations) in a relatively short time; their debut album, "Gish," was released in 1991.

The Pumpkins have a tumultuous history. The band's lineup included drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, guitarist James Iha, bassist D'Arcy Wretzky and Corgan; Wretzky left after recording "Machina" in 2000, with former Hole bassist Melissa auf der Maur filling her spot in the tour, and Corgan has blamed Iha in postings on his Web site for breaking up the band.

After the breakup, Corgan and Chamberlin put together the rock quintet Zwan, which imploded in 2003 after only one album.

"TheFutureEmbrace" is set for release Tuesday.

Stupid woman at the salon burn my face off with her stupid wax. Right after I warned her to be careful, the woman that did it for me last time burnt my lip, and that was my prom night.

And the stuff that's supposed to keep the skin from scarring permanently smells like crushed nuts.

I'm too sore to even smile about it.

The son of a bitch hit me first!

We're driving down a backstreet, doing about 20 because some jerk off in a white Pajero is being indecisive. So my dad passes him from the left only to see this jack ass in a Discovery come out of the intersection right in front of us. My dad is honking, he is flashing his headlights, and the dude in the jeep is just looking at him with this bored expression on his face and the next thing you know, WHAM! We run right into him because the idiot thinks he's too good to stop and wait for us to pass and decides to throw himself out in front of us. My dad gets out of the car so fast, he doesn't even pur the car on park before he does. He is yelling, and the dude is still sitting in his car, with the door open, his legs crossed, talking to my dad as if he was talking to a small child having a temper tantrum. He didn't start paying attention until my dad punched his door in and he didn't start apologizing until after the police came by and slapped the shit out of him.

I guess I know now where I got the other half of my temper from.

Where do we go? I don't know.

I had a dream I watched the sun from a clock tower until it was completely set. I had a guitar in my lap and I kept singing this song over and over again. Not even, just one line.

"Now I'm searching to be found."

When the sun finally went down, I got up, threw my guitar from the tower and walked down the stairs.

It's a luscious mix of words and tricks.

At the ballroom, right before the ceremony, I made a nasty little discovery.

I forgot to wear underwear.

Back home, after the debauchary, I made another nasty little discovery.

The price tag was still on my skirt.

Thank God for gowns.

Cheers.

Here's to the end of International Baccalaureate.

Here's to the end of Conway (chuchumha) and choir class (make fire, run around).

Here's to the end of long hours in Mr. Ray's office and even longer hours in Mr. Stitt's office.

Here's to the end of computer science class ("We're going to make bouncing balls today. Fajer, you can go ahead and laugh.").

Here's to the end of IB Math HL.

Here's to the end of life as we know it.

Cheers.

I'm coming out of my cage
And I've been doing just fine
Gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I'm falling asleep
And she's calling a cab
While he's having a smoke
And she's taking a drag
Now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick
And it's all in my head
But she's touching his—chest
Now, he takes off her dress
Now, let me go

I just can't look it's killing me
And taking control

Jealousy, turning saints into the sea
Swimming through sick lullabies
Choking on your alibis
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
'Cause I'm Mr.Brightside

I never...

Ever listened to something that depressed you because of the simple idea that you could never create something so wondrous?

Ever had a dream that left you cold because of the irreversible truth that the real world could never generate something so sweet?

Ever read a story that made you miserable because of the indisputable fact that it could never happen to you?

Wake up and smell the white tea, my love, because it already has happened to most of you. What's more, ideas, truths and facts were all proven false.

Smile. It's wonderful to be cynical and wrong.

I started downloading random songs by these guys when I realized Andy was becoming obsessive about them. Or something.

I had a dentist appointment this morning. To start off with, I had the most random dream, and when my alarm woke me up I switched it off, just to see how it would end. Of course the driver called a half hour later to tell me he was downstairs, and I was still in bed. I got dressed in record time, threw on my favourite black flipflops (the thong ones, damn I love those!) a pair of overalls and a bright red t-shirt. I flew down the stairs, not wanting to miss my appointment for the millionth time, and just as I leapt into the car... my slippers broke.

Well, one of them did. The right one.

There wasn't time to go back up and change my shoes. So I told the driver to just go. And he went. And I tried to fix them but they're really really broken. So I tried to manage dragging them into the dentist's office, then decided "To Satan with it" and picked it up. I limped, one-shoed, in front of aghast Kuwaiti mothers and their daughters. One woman was openly staring and I stopped right in front of her until she noticed I was looking down at her before walking away. Funny.

What a way to start the morning.

Anyhow, there's better news.

My next appointment is August 9th at 8am, and the doctor said that if I wanted to at the time, I'd be able to have the braces removed! He said he'd like it if I kept them on until October, just to be sure, but at that point it would be up to me, especially since I was leaving for college at around that time and I'd have to be in Dubai by late August. He said if I came back a couple of months later, he'd remove them then, but still, I'm hyped!

See, most people don't get a straight answer, they ask, "How long will I need braces for?" and the doctors smile and say, "Two years." And then the kid's got braces for four years. Me I asked, "How long will I need braces for?" and he said, "A year and a half," and May 21st was a year. Kick butt.

So hopefully, by the time I get to university, my teeth will be free and happy to flash and please!

3ajeeb!

For those of you who haven't noticed, I don't smile in pictures because I hate the look of my braces. They're a giant downer on my self-esteem and I'll be much happier when they're gone. I'll be much more confident, too. And you thought that was impossible, pfft. Wait 'til I get my canine capped.

while i was mowing the lawn on saturday morning, i figured out why we white men are such awful dancers.

throughout history, while most men and women around the world were trading dancing tips with each other, practicing to get better, and teaching their children (both male and female) how to get down in style, white men were too busy raping women, stealing land, and killing other people to pay attention to anything so uneconomical as dancing.
