My face got windburnt from walking to and from my car.
Poo.
Now I know why Rueben doesn't misspell so much these days, Firefox has spell check and it underlines all the words that it think are misspelled.
I find it annoying, but oh well.
I bought those Kool-Aid things today that are plastic and have the twist off caps. It reminds me of being five. They were only $1.00 for six, and I needed some berry cheer.
I finally went and picked up my driver's license. Now, it's time for a job.
I'm having such a good day today!!! I woke up and watched some CNN and my hair was still curled from last night, so I did a touch up and it still looks really great. In American Literature, we were discussing Emily Dickinson, and I had a validating, but short, converstation with the professor and another student about how we admire her life and her convictions, but we don't necessarily like her poetry. Then, in Literary Analysis, I shared my response paper and the professor told me that it was the perfect aim of a Formalistic Critic (probably the best in the class, he said), and the only problem was that I didn't include that the message of piece was desirable, or in that case, that I just didn't include an opinion, which, of course is negotiable, but still a good piece of advice. And, when I walked back to the dorms, the ground was a slushy. but my socks didn't get wet!
I find it a little odd that I'm so cheerful, but it's just one of those days where everything is going right! I'm eating with Rueben in fifteen minutes at the RFoC, and then I'm on to finish up my homework for the week. This leaves all weekend to lounging and mayhaps a bit of cleaning (my side of the room is in sore need of some tidying).
If I didnt treasure my internet dearly, I'd tell Charter to lick my anal region.
First my VOD doesn't work.
So they had to reset.
Then my movie channels wont work.
So they had to reset.
Now nothing works.
Fucking dumb asses
I went to a social event for Kappa Kappa Psi tonight. It was really great and I'm really excited to join. It's so nice to be with band kids again. Those are the only people you can have debates about legalizing prostitution, abortion, and which star trek series was the best all in the same half an hour.

So raise your glasses to thee
Celebrate another drunken year for me
I just typed out a long entry on how I feel about marriage and pregnancy and all that.
Then I decided to erase it and not post it because my opinions on said subjects aren't what anyone wants to hear.
However, I will say this, I am so sick of hearing about people from belding getting pregnant.
There's better things to do.
Carley, I barely have service at my apartment, so if I call you from my house don't ignore it.. It'll be a 989 number.. I'll call either tonight or tomorrow. I love you.
I just got back from working out with Rueben. I don't understand why the fitness center is so busy at ten thirty at night. It's the only time that we can go together, but I would go in the middle of the day if I had a choice.
I went to an open rush tonight. I'm going to join Kappa Kappa Si. It's music/band co-ed fraternity that is based in service work for the music, mostly band, organizations. I'm excited. Now the only thing left to do is get a job!
I finally figured out how I'm going to get out of college in four years without killing myself. The answer: Summer classes. I have an appointment Thursday with my academic advisor to see if this is a real possibility. I hope it is.
Time to shower, do some homework (Ugh, EDU 107 video quiz), and got to bed. Tomorrow is my busy day (five classes!).
Hey, I'm still alive. Imagine that.
I don't update much anymore because I keep my mushy details of my life inside.
But I miss Carley.
And I really miss my sister.
I really don't know what else to say.
Other than Brianna hasn't updated in awhile, and I want to see new pictures of her baby.
Tomorrow (January 24) we meet at the airport at 10:45 am.
Our plane leaves at 12:45 pm. We get into Dallas at 2:35 pm and leave at Kelly's favorite time of day pm. We get into London at 7 am (January 25) and leave at 8:40 am. We arrive in Toulouse (FRANCE!) at 11:30 am.
Pichot said we were going to rent a 10 seat bus and drive all over the place.
I'm excited but not enough.
And I miss you already.
I love you all.
P.S. Pray/hope/think for safe flights. I hate/am afraid of flying.
so yeah, i get back from AJ's dorm, and plug the computer in going to watch interstate 60 again, i love that movie, and for shits and grins i decide to turn the wireless card on and throw up net stumbler, bam 65% signal unencrypted...

CEDAR SPRINGS -- Ryan Gorter thought he had put the whole incident behind him when he agreed to pay $2,000 in restitution for the large-scale cleanup that ensued after he brought mercury into Cedar Springs High School.
Then he got a certified letter saying he owed another $47,000.
"I'd just like to see this all go away," the 19-year-old said Friday. Gorter made news in May 2005 after he brought a vial of the heavy metal to school to show some friends. Some spilled on the ledge of a whiteboard and onto the carpeting. A handful of students reportedly touched it.
Coming into contact with small doses of mercury can cause breathing difficulty, chest pain and headaches. Large concentrations can damage the brain, kidneys and lungs.
When school officials found out, the building was shut down for two days. Students had to be decontaminated, and Young's Environmental Cleanup spent a weekend using tracking devices to see where the mercury had been.
Within a few days, the carpeting was replaced and walls were scrubbed down.
Expenses totaling $47,045.89 were sent to the school's Indian Insurance Co.
A short time later, Gorter was charged with malicious destruction of property and unlawful possession of a harmful device, but those felony charges were dropped when he agreed to pay the district's $2,000 insurance deductible -- something that took the teen a year and a half to do.
"They told us it was all over when we paid that deductible," said Gorter, who works as a CAD operator for a monument company and has a 5-month-old daughter to support. He still lives at his parents' home and has been recovering from surgery following a work injury.
Gorter, who plans to fight the demand for payment, is not getting a lot of sympathy from Cedar Springs Superintendent Andrew Booth.
"It doesn't include any of the pain and agony of all the families that had to find care for their children when the schools were closed," Booth said. "It's thousands and thousands of families that are affected."
Booth said Gorter has shown little remorse and was slow to pay the $2,000. He claims Gorter has changed his story about the mercury numerous times.
Gorter's attorney, Edward McNeely, said his client found the mercury while he was a lab assistant for a middle school teacher who was moving into the high school. While disposing of items from the teacher's old desk, he found a jar with the mercury in it, and was unaware of its toxicity.
"Ryan was doing what the teacher told him to do," McNeely said. "Where else would he have gotten the mercury?"
The attorney said it was up to the district to know about the mercury and its potential for leaking. He said if the case goes to court, the district will be brought into the proceedings to defend its actions.
Booth said he has no idea where Gorter could have found the mercury but says it was not from one of his schools. He said years ago the district did a sweep of all buildings and eliminated hazardous chemicals.
He said the cleanup investigation found mercury at Gorter's house and the high school, but none at the middle school.
McNeely said he has written the Chicago law firm representing the insurance company, saying the school district, not Gorter, "bears responsibility for the event in question."
Chicago-based Meachum and Spahr Attorneys at Law did not respond to calls seeking comment.
I am going to France on Wednesday. In an aeroplane over the sea.
I had a jam packed day today but I can sum it up with just saying that I cried a lot and I already miss people I just saw. Or didn't see because they left for Minnesota and my car is broken so I couldn't see them and they didn't call me like I stalker-ish-ly told them to.
