We went to a chinese buffet today. I ate waaayyy too many desserts there. But, I've been binging on sweets lately. I always do that in times of personal crisis. My blood sugar and happiness are directly related D:
I think, things are little clearer now, I'm making progess. Which is good, but I don't think my old feelings will ever go away. However, I don't know if they've been rekindled out of jealousy or if they haven't always been there.
My fortune cookie offered freakishly specific advice. It said. "Don't play for safety--it's the most dangerous thing in world." I guess I should just for what I want, eh? Easier said than done, but at least, it's getting better.*
So, my birthday was good. I got cards from friends and family and some interesting stuff...
I got a cancer-causing iSnuggle (but only if you live in CA so it's okay), a camera tripod, slippers, a raver watch XD, a my melody pez, some d_skins, pink gloves, and an acne medication kit thing. D: My german teacher gave us candy for my birthday and so did my gym teacher and today was her birthday so i bought donuts for her xD My mom got me a cake although it was only a pack of sugar wafers.
I'm using my birthday money to buy this camera tomorrow.
And I'm having my dad order me this hoodie as his gift to me this weekend.
Now I can't dye my hair until after my mom gets a lot of her beading done. I'm going with her to the largest craft show in the area the first weekend of November to sell stuff and she has to make some money off of it.
I decided not to have a party, too, because that's just unnecessary stress for her.

I think that we expect too much from the people who play a dynamic role in our lives. I'm mostly talking about parents but this could also mean friends, teachers, etc. They are not merely mechanisms that to entertain you, provide for you, to say "yes" all the time... they are human beings with faults and problems of their own, and I think it's really selfish of us to think that they are perfect, or to be outraged when they make a mistake. I think that, a lot of times, we believe that each of us, in our own minds, is the only one allowed to make mistakes and to fail, and that is just not the case.
