In the western region of the �City of Brotherly Love� known as Philadelphia, my mother expelled me from her womb and indeed that is also where I spent my childhood, in my mother�s care. The majority of my time was spent in a recreational area containing such diversions as a jungle gym, swing set, sand box, etc. I was typically at the height of leisure while frequently at a temperature slightly below what might be considered standard room temperature. Outside of my educational institution I was engaging in a game of basketball with some of my friends, when a couple of gentlemen who seemed to be of the disposition to cause a great deal of mischief began causing a great deal of chaos and disharmony in the area in which I lived. I was involved in one rather small bout of fisticuffs after which my mother became concerned for my general safety and well-being, and she informed me that I would be moving in with her sister and her sister�s husband in the previously mentioned community located at the previously mentioned location.

We went down to visit his mom last night.
She was able to remember who Mike and Jerry were, but she didn't remember who I was.
I told Mike that it wasnt that big of a deal because it's probably her short term memory that is afftected by the infection and it hasnt gotten to the long term completely.
But he insisted that it is a big deal because she remembered me on wednesday.

I dont like how quickly things are progressing.
Tomorrow his family is all getting together with the doctors to discuss what options they have, and what is the best for her.
Its going to be rather depressing, but it definately needs to be resolved soon.

Mike's mom is doing a whole lot worse..
The end is definately closer than what the doctors were saying.
She doesn't remember who Mike is anymore.
Seriously, I cannot stop crying.
It's horrible.
I feel so bad, and there is absolutly nothing I can do.
There is nothing the doctors can do.
Nothing.

EDIT: oh, and one of the ladies that live where my grandma is at, died on monday.

So to add to my weekend filled with bad news and unfortunate events, I found out today that the Stanton man killed in the car accident friday morning, was a kid I work with..
And he was one of the only people I talked to at work.
We made fun of each other all the time.

This weekend has been pretty crappy..
Started thursday night..

Mike's mom is in the hospital.
It's pretty serious business..
The doctors are saying that it won't matter if she is in a medical facility, or goes home and has nurses come in, she might see labor day.
Spent all day friday at the hospital, and we're going back down there in a little bit..
I feel really bad..

A whole stuffed turkey..

Chuck Norris can choke on dick. I watched a full show of his new WCL(world combat league) and it should be canceled. Who wants to watch a bunch of sub par fighters fight for only like two and a half minutes? Not me. Who wants to watch them fight with 12-14oz gloves? Not me. Anderson Silva would destroy every fighter on there with in 1 minute. What a worthless show. Id like to see WCL vs UFC so chuck can watch and cry about his worthless fighters getting annihilated. I hope his total gym breaks on him and he dies. He is now the biggest douche bag in the world of MMA.

A friend of Mike and I's died this morning.
He was riding his motorcycle to work this morning and hit a deer.
He managed to ride it out, but by that time it was too late because he was in the other lane, and was hit by a truck.
He was put into several bags.
And his helmet was found away from his body, but the chin strap was still under his chin.

Here's the freaky part.
Kirk died on the bike he bought from his friend Norm.
Norm was killed in February while working on Kirks car. (The car fell on him).

So my power did come back on Thursday. Which I was very grateful for.
I could not live the Amish way. No way, no how.
I got my paper done and turned in on thursday.
I made a little extra money baby-sitting thursday evening.
Last night Mike and I went to watch the fireworks in Crystal with Rich and Sara and their kids.

Now I get to work on another paper that is due friday..
On sleep deprivation and its greatest problem associated with Corrections Officers..
Not as easy as it sounds, trust me.
My professor is a major ass. He's worse than an English teacher when it comes to grading papers.
Oh well. Hopefully I get a good grade on it.

So I am currently without power and at my dads using his.
I had a paper due today, thankfully I just finished it after 3 hours of straight time working on it. Work was cancelled because they have no power.

The estimated time for when I will get my power back is 11PM SATURDAY EVENING, JULY 5TH 2008..

July 1st.
I was standing in the Warsaw airport at 6am having gone to bed only two hours earlier. I felt sick from getting food poisoned in Ukraine and everything felt very surreal. Rafael, and Prudence watched quietly, Monika gave me an eiffel tower keychain from her recent trip to Paris, Nella smiled and joked in the discrete way that she does, Britt stood anxiously beside me, and my host mom Danka held an American flag. I was feeling nauseous from the food poisoning, but also the added nerves of leaving the country. Daniela smiled at me warmly and lead me to the bathroom where I threw up. As we walked back to the small crowd, she rubbed my back and mothered me. Minutes passed, Britt and I went through the gate, and a strange calmness came over me as we boarded the plane.

It's been one year since I left Poland and my exchange ended. Today the exchange students after me are coming home. The first time I saw them they were timid but excited to start their own exchange and everything about Poland sounded strange. Then I saw one of them when I visited Warsaw six months ago and she knew better Polish than me.

A year later and I'm sitting on a blue couch with glass sliding doors in front of me watching the Aussie sky turn from day to dusk. I have a beautiful girlfriend, an awesome cat, and I wash dogs for a living. A lot of things can change in a year. A lot of things changed for the year I was in Poland. But right now, things are starting to feel more stable. I have the person I want to spend my life with, we have a place to live, and we're building a savings account. We've got the simple things down; it's just the future that remains unknown. But that's ok.
