I had it stuck in my head after we read that part on jazz. Heh.

Pamela Anderson wrote in an open letter circulated by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that KFC mistreats its chickens and called for a boycott.

Pamela Anderson urges KFC boycott

Actress seeks more humane treatment of chickens

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 — Actress Pamela Anderson joined an animal rights campaign against fast-food chain KFC Thursday, urging a consumer boycott of the franchise until it insures better treatment of its chickens.

“If people knew how KFC treats chickens, they’d never eat another drumstick,” the Canadian-born former “Baywatch” beauty wrote in an open letter circulated by the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

The letter was addressed to John Bitove, chairman of the Toronto-based company Priszm Brandz, which owns the Canadian franchise to KFC, a division of Yum Brands Inc.

“What KFC does to 750 million chickens each year is not civilized or acceptable,” she wrote. “I am calling for a boycott of all KFC restaurants until my friends at PETA tell me that you have agreed to be kinder in your practices.”

A Priszm Brandz spokeswoman, Alessandra Saccal, dismissed claims that the chickens sold in its KFC outlets are mistreated.

“We purchase our chickens from the same place that grocery stores and other restaurants purchase their chickens from, and the chicken farmers of Canada are very responsible and take the welfare of animals very seriously,” she said.

In July, PETA filed suit against KFC, accusing the company of making misleading statements on its Web site regarding how the chickens it sells are treated. PETA contends that the chickens KFC buys from suppliers are abused through drugging, feeding and slaughter practices.

Anderson is not the first celebrity to join PETA’s cause against Louisville, Kentucky-based KFC. Former Beatle Paul McCartney appealed to the fast-food chain in July to ensure better treatment of its chickens in a PETA ad.

PSAT/NMSQT
I'm cold and tired.

I have to take the PSAT in less than an hour.

I looked at the CD-ROM my mom got for me to practice with. I also checked out some sample problems on the PSAT site.

The math part scares me. I don't remember any of it. That is really scary. Maybe I shouldn't have skipped math this year.

They told me to skip questions. That's what they said. You get penalized for guessing (don't ask me how they know and don't make me go into my speech about it) and the questions go from easiest to hardest. Question 1 will be easy and 15 will be harder with 20 being hardest if it's the last one. So since you get penalized for guessing the CD-ROM told me to skip questions. SKIP QUESTIONS!!?? Leave it blank!!?? That's unheard of! I do every question if even I guess. But skipping...No! Do every question even if you don't know. That's what they always said. And now, all of a sudden, the world changes its rules??

Oh well. I'll skip the ones I don't know.

Do the easy and middle difficulty ones, skip the ones you don't know, go back only if you're at least sure you know how to do it and bring a couple pencils.

Can I maybe hang out with anyone afterwards? This is going to fry my brain so badly, I just want to relax after it. Just hang out. I have Matrix: Reloaded er Revolutions er...the second one... What genius decided to make them both start with r?

Okay, I'm going to go eat.

It has become my opinion that it is no longer wise for anyone in our group to date each other. Too many bad feelings keep coming out of it, and I don't think it's wise. I know like in KT and Tom's case, it's different... Tom came into the group more really because of KT. He's a member now, but is under that clause of joining by relationship. I feel our group will die if we don't stop dating within it. What needs to happen is we need to find people outside the group, like Jackie did, and then Mat is slowly joining into our circle... when he doesn't have to work that is (which is rare.) This is just my opinion, and since nobody ever listens to me anyways... have fun.
