2004 26 September :: 10.15am
Janina's plane was 2 hours late so dad, Carly, and I went to the woodland mall and ate food (Greasy, yummy, Japanese food) and then Carly and I looked around at the shops because we had time to kill and had no money. We pointed out romance novels that Jessie (Jessie Bulman that is) would like, the ones with the men and woment on the cover about ready to do the dirty deed. I found one that had the best title in the world. Men who wear kilts. I started laughing because that's the best way to draw my attention. Mmm...kilts.
So at 7:50 Carly and I waited with baited breath as our friends from Germany stepped off the plane and into the waiting area. Janina was tired and had a stomach ache from crappy airplane food and having to sit still for 10 hours. Dad and I took her to good ol' Mickey D's and she ate some random yogurt parfait thing and drank some water. We chatted away in german and confused the person at the register. It was great. Then we arrived home and Janina showered our family with gifts. I swear it was Christmas.
Today we're going to church, then back at home I'll make Janina food then we'll walk downtown and hopefully meet Kim and her german sister, Britte. w00t.
Wow, a long entry for once. Gaspy. Hearts and kisses and bubbles and hugs and balloons!

Only 2 hours and 22 minutes before Janina arrives! I'm really excited. Jumping-all-around-and-trying-to-beat-a-boss-on-oracle-of-seasons excited. Drawing-on-the-sidewalk-with-chalk excited.
Rachel and Benoit are now my alarm clocks.
Cheese is good, and so is chocolate.

Janina mentioned something about her teacher mentioning our homecoming dance. and that she'll be bringing a dress (i hope to high heaven that she has no interest to go).
Well, if she wants to go then we'll go. Except I have no dress (Gott sei dank).

Today was a pretty ok day. Kim and I stayed after school and painted the wall that we've been painting for about a year now. It gives me great pleasure to inform you all that it is now complete as of 3:30-something today. Come by before school and oooh and ahh over our skillz. We're very proud of it.
I'll be sleeping in the basement tonight. Another step closer to having Janina be with us. I'm so geeked.

Ich bin eine Kartoffel
I finally got enough sleep today. *happy*
Dad and I were looking at colleges on the internet. I want to look at CMU, WMU, and MSU.
I know how to get around the campus (sorta) at CMU because dad's on the board of science and learning so i'm usually up there at least once a year. It's out in the middle of nowheresville. Nice library though.
WMU is right by my grandparents's house. I'd be able to hang out with them and go to their church (if i went there).
MSU is smurfing huge. That's all I've got to say about that one.
Janina's coming on the 25th!! I'm so excited!

Today was my church's annual 5K run. We had 151 runners!!! That's the most we've had in the past 3 years!
I was on kitchen duty, sort of. All we had to do was set the food out onto the tables for the runners, then I got called over to the finish line to make sure that all the runners remembered to take off the running chips (computer chips that helped keep track of their running time).
After clean up I went home and felll asleep for a long time (until 4) because I didn't get home until after 0.30 (12:30 for those americans out there) from the place I was babysitting at. The last 20 minutes before the mom came home I was drifting in and out of unconsciousness. Then I got to wake up at 7 this morning. Joy.

I actually got enough sleep last night so I was awake today. w00t.
My team actually won a match of tennis today! Unbelievable!
I hate underclassmen who act like idiots. Preferably ones sitting behind me on the bus and flicking my head so they can ask me time and time again if I'm a boy or a girl. Grr...One day I'm gonna snap and flash them.
Ali and I talked all hour in Japanese class. She's got more manga than me! We're gonna do some manga trades in the near future, I can't wait!!!
