to continue or not to continue...
Hey guys! I am thinking about discontinuing this weblog except for replying and maybe the occasional entry. I am not very good about updating nor are my updates very entertaining. Plus, I don't want to deal with all the journal drama and having unwanted people reading it. Sorry guys!
Live well. Laugh often. Love much.

updating!
Hey y'all! I am finally updating again! The last two weeks have been crazy! I have been doing SETT for the last two weeks with Nicole and other cool people like that! It was a lot of fun, all in all! I got to do Who's on First in the showcase and some other fun stuff like Nicole and my spiffy little piano scene thing. Don't ask. And our super awesome MJ dance, choreographed by the wonderful Christina, was great too. Oh, and who could forget Grayson dressing in drag? That was great. I am SO bummed that Kristi is leaving, though... I won't ever get to work with her again! *cries* I am going to miss her so much it isn't even funny!
Louise and Nicole and I have been hanging out the last few days since she is home from Franceland! We saw Anchorman together which is hilarious! Friday, Marcella, Louise, and I saw Terminal which is REALLY good! I love Tom Hanks!!!! I also saw the Downtown cast of West Side Story after the movie, but with Nicole. It was pretty good actually. One of the best performances PYT has done in a while. And where did all those guys come from? I saw the other cast today, and even though they were supposed to be worse, I didn't think they were to bad! Of course, there were mistakes, but hey, it's children's theatre and I don't feel like being negative. Overall, I was impressed with the show! Good job everybody!
Off to partay at Ali's! Later!

Italy and more!
I am so sorry I haven't updated! I have been so busy since I got home from Italy on the 16th! But speaking of Italy, it was AMAZING! We flew to Rome first and spent a few days there. We took a tour the first day and saw all the big sites throughout our time there. The Coliseum, the Forum, Villa d'Este, Trevy Fountain, Spanish Steps, the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's... to name a few!
Then off to Florence by train (the wrong train actually! We took the local train instead of the express and arrived in Florence two or three hours late. Oh well, the Tuscan countryside was definitely compensation enough!) Florence was one of my favorite cities! The Ponte Vecchio, the David, the Duomo, museums galore! Very musical and alive and happy!
Then from Florence we had a driver take us to Sestri Levante through Monte Raggione (this incredibly old, incredibly tiny little city, very cute), Siena (very nice place, calmer, and beautiful; they have the famous Il Palio horse race there), and Pisa (the pictures don't do it justice, the leaning tower is SO cool in real life), and then finally to Sestri Levante on the coast of Northern Italy. This was another of my favorite places. The Italian coast is GORGEOUS! When we came in to Sestri Levante, though, we had planned on staying in a hotel on this cliff that had this fantastic view. But, when we got there, after a long day of traveling, we were informed that our valid and confirmed reservation had been lost and they in fact did not have any rooms for us! So they found us another hotel, right on the beach, that ended up being a better location anyway, and everything worked out quite well! From Sestri Levante, we took a day trip to Cinque Terre. It is this collective name for five adorable, little towns on the coast, hiking distance apart from each other. We returned to Sestri Levante for a last night. We went out for our traditional gelato. My dad got cherry and something called "crema di basilico", something he assumed to be some kind of cream. After making us all try it, we figured out that basilico was BASIL. YUCK! :)
We then took the train to Verona. Very charming city! We were there only one night and that was to see the OPERA! When we got there, though, it started pouring! After days of hot, lovely weather, it was raining the one night we were in Verona to see an opera in the OUTDOOR theater! So, we went to dinner and asked our server if after all this, the opera would be called off. She confidently told us that they would definitely get through the first act, even if it took them till 2:30 in the morning, because then they don't have to give you your money back! Ha! So we went, in our nice opera-going attire and rain gear to our FABULOUS seats in the Verona Arena for "La Traviata." It turned out that there were only to times they had to stop the opera because of the rain and then it cleared up (they had to stop to keep the beautiful instruments from getting damaged in the rain.) During one of the breaks, the audience in the higher seats started THE WAVE! It was hilarious! Here we are at an Italian opera, thinking it would be all prissy and fancy, and people are in their ponchos, doing the wave! Good times! The actual opera, by the way, was fabulously wonderful. I loved it! In Verona, we also went to the little tourist attraction "Juliet's balcony/house." Yeah, unwanted memories. Everywhere, they mock me!
After Verona, we took the train to Venice, our last stop in Italy! I loved Venice. The canals were incredible! And San Marco Square, the Realto, riding in a gondola! We took a walking tour of the town while we were there, as well as a boat off to three islands called Murano (where they make a lot of the glass), Burano (famous for lace), and Torcello. Besides the gondola, my favorite part of Venice had to be the late nights in San Marco Square at these little gelato places where they had live music. It was unbelievable! The square was all lit up, the music was beautiful... sigh! Oh, and of course, we did a TON of shopping in Venice too!
Reluctantly, we left Venice and Italy for one night in London and the theater! After a huge mix-up with our apartment, we finally got ourselves a place to stay with the help of some We saw the longest running show in the world: Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. It has been running for 52 years and we saw the 21,518 performance! The queen even saw this show (on the 50th anniversary.) It was a great murder mystery that I completely recommend! I LOVED it!
So home we went, ecstatic and exhausted. What a trip!
Since then, I have been to the Salinas Rodeo and started and acting camp/conservatory called SETT with Nicole. I am still getting over jet lag and am thoroughly tired, so now after this massive update I feel I am ready to go to bad. More later!

SUMMERTIME!
Back from Yellowstone and I had a blast! It is so beautiful there and I was in good company ;)
Anyway, have been running around like crazy in preparation for our departure to ITALIA on July 1st!!!! Yesterday was pretty calm actually. Most of the day I swam with Louise and ate a lot of tortilla chips!
Today, I had a chiropractor appointment (finally!) Then I came home and made 26 different phone calls to random Concert Choir people! Yup, that was a barrel of monkeys! Then I had a voice lesson with Paige. Julie was before me and Elspeth was after me. I was so surprised to see her I almost started laughing. Luckily I am capable of controlling myself (despite popular belief!) So, then I came home, called a few more people and talked online. So there was my day! Now I am going shopping!!! Later!

I love summer!
Summer is so great! Only during summer can one have this much fun!
So, yesterday, I saw Mrs. Darby. It was AMAZING to see her! We talked for hours! She is the best! It was sad to have to say goodbye again though... I miss her all over again. But, I souldn't dwell on the sad things or I will cry. It was just so great to see her again!
Today was awesome as well! I went to "lunch" with Louise and Nicole downtown at the Los Altos Coffee Shop where they proceeded in making fun of my eating habits! Let me eat my muffin in peace! I AM SO OVER LOUISE AND HER BIG STOMACH!!!!! Haha, good times.
Later, Louise, Shri, Kelly, Cat, and I went to go see Shrek 2. It was so cute. The rich king? ¡Sí! Haha, best line in the movie. Then Kelly's crazy brother drove us home. *Lane change* Haha, be thankful we are all alive! Just kidding, it was fun! Love you guys! Have a good time in Andover, Cat!
Have fun at camp Nicole, Melissa, and Alison!!!! I promise I will write. Or at least I will try... ;) Love you all lots.
Well, off to Yellowstone for a week! I will miss you all tons! Later!

Carmel was a blast! Someday I am going to take you ALL down there and have a super duper huge partay!!! Pictures to come... I hope. Stupid computer. :)
I am sooooo excited! Today I am seeing my friend Mrs. Darby for the first time in TWO YEARS. Unfortunately, most of you do not know who Mrs. Darby is because she taught eighth grade English and Newspaper at Egan. I had the incredible luck of having her as a teacher and when she moved to Alabama two years ago, we promised to stay in touch. She is one of the most amazing women I know and she is a phenomenal teacher. Over the last two years she has not only kept in touch with me, but become sort of a second mother figure in my life. She always has advice and comfort to offer me when I need it most and is a fellow LOTR worshipper! I could go on and on, but I won't bore you to death by doing that. In short she is absolutely wonderful. And, after two years she is finally coming to visit!!!! TODAY!!!!

the end
Can you believe it? School is over! I am still in the "non-realization" stages where it still has not completely hit me that we don't have to go back to school until the end of AUGUST!
Finals overall went pretty well for me. I am a little worried about Bio, I probably could have studied a little more for Spanish, and I am really glad that our History final did not count... but hey, whatever! So, Thursday was my last day. Friday was way awesome, need I say why? *wink*
Singing at senior graduation was not a big deal for me. Most people were complaining about being tired and full ;), but for me it was kind of fun to be involved and sing one last time with all the cool seniors who are leaving. I kind of wish I had stayed to watch the whole thing, but I was really tired so I went home and watched Zorro. Ha!
Today I went to see my cousin get a spiffy award for excellence in undergraduate studies because she is JUST THAT SMART. She is going to work for Google. Geez, some people get all the good genes ;) Tomorrow, she graduates from Stanford and my family hosts a party for 50 people. Should be interesting.
CARMEL ON MONDAY, after Paige lesson.
And I would like to end this entry by thanking each and every one of my wonderful friends. You guys are so amazing and I appreciate you all a LOT! Thanks for being you! You rock and I love you lots!

today
I MADE GIRLS 21!!!!!!!!
YAY! Finals weren't too bad today. English was easy, but kind of sad. I am going to miss Ms. Robertson. She is cool. Mr. Green, on the other hand, wasn't even there. I guess I will kind of miss him. He was funny and a pretty good teacher. Anyway, the final was pretty hard. I hope I did OK... but hey, it's all good.
Then Louise, Marcella, Rachel, and I went to my house and we ate cookie dough and had a GRAND time.
Only two days left for us without 0 or 7 finals!!!!

the weekend
what a crazy weekend. saturday, as u SHOULD know (haha jk!), was my 15th BIRTHDAY! yay. it was tons of fun. marcella and rachel and shri gave me a super lucky pencil with which i definately think i aced my SAT 2s with! (yes, i had to take them on my birthday. groan.) after that, though, i opened presents and then went to a birthday brunch! pancakes, yummy! THEEEEEN, i ummm, listened to music and danced around my room. then i went to melissa's which was super fun! yay for romance novels!!!!!
then yesterday, i went to my neighbor's memorial and cried my eyes out because it was SO sad. she was like this ÜBER pianist who was like SO talented! i used to be able to hear her play when i was in my room and i hav all these cool memories from when I was little. The memorial service was really nice. THis INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED pianiist came to play and he was just like... AMAZING. I was a total waterworks because my neighbor and him were friends and students together and when he was playing... he started crying. OMG. any of u who really know me can pretty much picture it. SAD!
today was ok. kinda bittersweet that everything is wrapping up! like, i am really going to miss my English teacher... but on the other hand I am really not going to miss Mrs. Yañez! Oh well. And yes, I should be studying! Wish me luck... bio tomorrow, ugh!
PS Louise and Nicole, mark your calenders for June 14-16. Talk to me when you can ;)
