margarine man and butter boy
Hmmm I feel empowered. I have sold 1 ad in yearbook (need to sell more, but it's more than half of everyone else), plus I have a great concept for the Student council page. I got my NHS stuff so I need to get cracking on that. FST is a bitch and should be taken out back and... So I'm going all psychadelic right now with the Flaming Lips, I let out a secret that was one friend's who was trying to keep it from another... and Queer Eye is on tonight. Mixed results today, hope I come out on the positive half.

Went and saw Ducktails and Bobbysox (sweetest name EVER...) last night with Nick, and it was good for a middle school production I guess, I try to avoid the Junior High Theatre scene... But it was classic when Josh and Bill came up the aisles as Buddy Holly and Elvis... badass. Can't wait for Cinderella, man.

I'm watching the Purdue game right now, and I'm thinking, "Gene Kadey's hair looks like he used shoe polish on it. It's really bad. He needs to just stop doing the Donald Trump and get it over with." But, then I think, "Man, Kadey's hair is a legacy. It wouldn't be the same without the unconvincing combover."

So, the hair remains.

Rumor is circling on some of the boards I'm on that there will be a sequel to Minority Report. Great Movie, but 1) Sequels suck 2) The movie was totally tied up at the end, and the only way the concept of the first could be continues would be through an alternate universe & 3) Speilburg almost NEVER makes sequels.

Some things are better left alone.

I'm watching commercials on CBS right now, and I've realized that every "Must See" episode of Cold Case details a murder case that is X years old, like 15, 30, etc. But every "Must See" heads even farther back in time. If the show lasts another season, soon they're going to be making up an obtuse fake story about the murder of, say, John Winthrop and investigate who killed him. It's pretty stupid. Except for a few shows, network TV absolutely sucks. Don't get me started on how the OC reflects teenage America's inability to pay attention to a show without the writers almost killing off someone 3 episodes in.

Snow Days are here
I've been listening to a lot of Alkaline Trio lately. "Hell Yes", "Sorry About that", "Radio", "We've Had Enough"... it just works for me. Check it out.

Btw... That song... the "nah nah nah na-nah-nah" one that nobody could remember the name of...

"Angel is a Centerfold" by J Geils Band.

Where did the Flaming Lips come from? It just seems like I saw their video for "Do you Realize??" like 6 months ago, and since then I hear about them everywhere. And they've released 2 EPs in the past 12 months. They're hitting it big I guess. They're good stuff. Gotta get "Yoshimi battles..." soon.

Well, Woohu mysteriously disappeared around lunchtime today... It scared me for a second. But apparently it is back and running well.

Second semester has begun, and considering my schedule has pretty much stayed the same, it's no big deal. I'm happy though; many of my classes have different people, so it'll pass the time having new things to talk about. Another plus about second semester starting; every day is one day closer to the end of yearbook... I am NOT doing it next year. Personally I have no beef with the class itself... I have plenty of experienced upper classmen and Mrs. Miller to tell me what to do when I am without direction, but the split with band is exhausting. I don't feel like i can put enough effort into either one... I feel alienated from band, and the same from yearbook because of my lack of 'being there' in either

The show is going well, and we have most of the music learned, and my scene has been blocked, so all that remains is for me to learn my lines.... Plus Gary's... God I hate being an understudy. I need to call Mrs. Giganti and ask her to be my character coach, because every attempt i make at sounding like I'm from NYC or even Jersey just makes me sound either 1) Black or 2) Bush. I have the grasp on what i need to do to sound like I'm from Manhattan, but it's not working for me. Mrs. Giganti is the character part goddess... She knows what she's doing.

I have played through one of the greatest video game moments of all time. I finally got the nerve to sit down for 2 hours and beat Jabu Jabu's belly (bear with me, I can't do any except the easiest dungeons in Ocarina of Time without the players guide, and, well, the one I stole from Greg is the official one, and it tells it like an epic tale; instead of just saying "to trigger this you have to cut this tentacle", it says "...Link saw the electric stalk in the middle of the chamber, and while fighting off Shaboms, he ran towards it, and got shocked. He remembered the other tentacle of the same color, and thought deeply..." (I mean, that barely gives me any help.)

Darn you... Darn You..
Mario Kart Night January 2004 will happen... NEXT WEEK... Damn you Mark and Greg... But 1080 made up for it...

Next Month: Crystal Chronicles... Let the Quest Begin.

I'm such a geek.

Patriots are Up 13-0, I've beaten Jabu Jabu's belly, and I have no homework. And Alias is on tonight.

I threw away your greatest hits
You left them here the day you split
Your bass guitar and shaggs CD
Well they don't mean that much to me right now
I'm going through your things
These days, I'm changing all my strings

I'm gonna write you a letter
I'm gonna write you a book
I wanna see your reaction
I wanna see how it looks
From way up on your cloud
Where you've been hiding out
Are you getting somewhere?
Or did you get lost in Amsterdam?

You won't get too far from me
believing everything you read
You're wasted in the great unknown
and I am getting ready to dispose
of all your vintage clothes
Your drugs and every secret coke

I'm gonna write you a letter
I'm gonna write you a book
I wanna see your reaction
I wanna see how it looks
From way up on your cloud
Where you've been hiding out
Are you getting somewhere?
Or did you get lost in Amsterdam?

From your red balloon you were
a super high tech jet fighter
Floating over planet earth
Come back down here, I'll show you where it hurts
Take this bitter pill
Is it easy to swallow?

I'm gonna write you a letter
I'm gonna write you a book
I wanna see your reaction
I wanna see how it looks
From way up on your cloud
You're never coming down
Are you getting somewhere?
Or did you get lost in Amsterdam?

Best song opening line ever made:

"Here's a story for the kids!"

----Dynomite by Ima Robot

Download it.

In other music news: John Mayer has declared Jewel's "Intuition" has the most un-singable chorus of the year, plus it's the musical incarnation of the feeling of being sick. The last song you want to hear when you have a 103 temp and are about to puke.

I agree.

Ugh... Exam week. it's good, it's bad. I nailed the history exam (though it took me an extra 20 min over my best time... this time it took me 35 minutes) and FST I think i nailed too. Tomorrow, Chem doesn't have me too worried, and Lit will be easy if i can memorize that big ass list of vocab.

You know, Jordan Alexander was doing Karl Malone impressions at play Saturday, and one of them he said something about Malibu Barbie... You know, Barbie has so many incarnations ranging from ones that you can cut their hair to ones with just about every profession (from Doctor all the way to Spinning-Super-Ballerina-Swan-Lake-Color-Changing-Princess Barbie)... Trust me, I have little cousins, I know this stuff...

They have all those jobs, but they don't have a "Bailiff Barbie"... You know, like the policemen in court rooms who bring in prisoners and escort the jury... those guys. Barbie hasn't done that yet.

Or how about something to do with the government, like "Terrorist Interrigator" Barbie?

On an unrelated note, I finally unlocked the Special Cup on Mario Kart... God I suck at video games. 150 cc is killing me, I can't get above a bronze trophy.

uhhh.... long day. I'm tired. I got my Livejournal up and running again... I'm wondering who i know besides people from Shores has one and actively uses it... I feel so very lowly having one person on my LJ friends page. I'd like to add more people if i knew they had one. Anyone at Catholic got one?

No, not to worry, i won't abandon you guys on woohu. I might do parallel posts on both sites when i want to, but my woohu and LJ just seem to have different uses for me. Look at my LJ for postings, humor, questions, etc. Woohu is where I'll let out my steam.

Sick as a dog...
Well, monday at play my eye started to get all cloudy and stuff, and i got home and my mom figured it was like conjunctivitis... combine that with my sinuses filled to the brim, me having to blow my nose every 47 seconds, a deep cough, and general "i feel like shit"-yness... I had to stay home yesterday and today...

May I mess with Zach Kohley's only line in Meet Me in St. Louis?

Time, Tide and MR. HOLT wait for no man... lol.

Missing Exam review sucks. Sure, say i don't need it, but I'm worried about FST, Chem and a little about Lit... History exam and morality will be a joke.

So, yesterday I was in a vegetative state, and today i feel better, but I'm missing play practice tonight, exam review, and all sorts of other stuff. I want to say "Oh Well, I'm sick" but man, you know, missing a day at our school makes you miss so much.

Screw it. I have more homework to do today, a paper to make corrections on, and i need to sleep. I'll survive. Have a good day at school everyone!!!

*man in desert wasteland. on stomach. drags himself across the shifting sands, with scorpions all around. He stares into the distance, almost seeing something. He sees an oasis. His thirst not quenched for weeks, he yells*

SNOW DAY!!!!

(I want one tomorrow so badly)

But right now, i have to say that leaving "Gravedigger" out of the "Best of the Year" synopsis was a, ahem... 'Grave'... mistake.

Some Random Predictions for '04:

-The next big thing in music will hit. The past few years were like right before Nirvana's Bleach hit... A boring music scene, with something revolutionary right around the corner
-Ted Williams' head will resurrect itself, and will lead the Expos to the world series, only to lost to the Cubs/Red Sox (I don't remember which league the Expos are in)
-Michael Jackson won't name his next kid "Prince Michael III"... He will name it "Michael: Episode 1- The Pre-plastic surgery years."
-My Boss at Ruth Ann's won't be a biotch

Actually, I only think the first one of those four will actually happen. Though I'd love to see Ted William's head try to get around without the body...

Blah
I got home from Indy yesterday... we got on the plane right after the game was over, and got into Indy at about 11:30.... I woke up yesterday feeling like shit. It was like how i felt the last day of band camp.... head felt like a lead weight, sinuses filled, every muscle ached, hot/chills alternation... I think i got like sun poisoning or whatever it's called.

Florida was great fun, and we managed to evade the Mouse. we hit cocoa beach on monday, Space Center on tuesday, some museums on wednesday, and did the new year's party and pep rally on wednesday evening/afternoon... and thursday was the game. it was exciting being at the game, and the second half was great. Purdue lost because they had no pass defense... the first half killed us.

I have several papers to get done by monday. Not fun. Currently I am in a serious feud with Natalie. Not Fun Either. and she's apparently turning my friends against me. Not Fun. But I've been gone for a week and I don't know what went on for the past week, so things might have changed.

Who wants to come to my house to watch "Coldplay Live"?

Scotty.... You're the coolest man alive. Thanks for the gift.
