Its been a few days....

I've been working all weekend...

And now I'm sick.

I never thought I could hate Ruth Ann's until I started working there. Actually it's not too bad... But I get payed jack, have to deal with Almighty Lynn, and I am so far sitting in the Camp store for four hours doing nothing... Saturday I was working with Jim, which was okay. Yesterday I was working by myself, which sounds bad but actually turned out to be better (sometimes I like solitude). Not to mention yesterday Moose and her puppy came by, then Todd, Leah Nolan and her two sisters soon came too so since nobody came to buy anything from me Lynn was okay with us talking and goofing around. That took about an hour off my time! There also was this little kid, kinda like a 7 year old Jimmy Fusik, and he and I had a fun conversation while his parents got ice cream. Then Lynn left at about 9, and the rest of us hung out inside the back area and goofed off, because after that we only had a few customers on account of the dreary day. But about when she left my ears started plugging up, my sinuses felt like they just got implants, and my throat started to hurt really bad. 2 slushes and a milkshake didn't soothe it either. When I got home and greeted my dad after his long trip to Germany/France/Netherlands/wherever I started to get all achey. Now today I feel like shit.

On a lighter note, I saw Italian Job on friday with matt, Greg and Michael and it was great. It's along the lines of Ocean's Eleven, in the ensemble-cast-pulling-off-a-heist-while-getting-revenge-for-something-and-while-still-being-really-cool genre. The best way to say this isn't a Ocean's Eleven Ripoff is to say 1) It's also a remake of an old film like Ocean's Eleven, but the originals were totally different from each other and 2) This one is more about "Ok, we can get the loot out of the vault easily, now how do we transport it through town?" compared to Ocean's Eleven's "Transporting it thru town will be easy, the problem is getting it out of the vault." Seth Green and Mos Def are halarious in it, and it's definitely a must see.

While on the subject of movies may I remind you out there in cyberspace to see "Bend It Like Beckham?" That is a halarious British movie! (No you perves, it's about FOOTBALL---soccer for you dumb ones)

damn it.
F***. Just another brick in the wall.

"Solitude"

How many times have you told me you love her
As many times as I've wanted to tell you the truth
How long have I stood here beside you
I live through you
You looked through me

Ooh, Solitude,
Still with me is only you
Ooh, Solitude,
I can't stay away from you

How many times have I done this to myself
How long will it take before I see
When will this hole in my heart be mended
Who now is left alone but me

Ooh, Solitude,
Forever me and forever you
Ooh, Solitude,
Only you, only true

Everyone leave me stranded
Forgotten, abandoned, left behind
I can't stay here another night

Your secret in my heart
Who could it be

Ooh, Can't you see
All along it was me
How can you be so blind
As to see right through me

And Ooh, Solitude,
Still with me is only you
Ooh, Solitude,
I can't stay away from you

Ooh, Solitude,
Forever me and forever you
Ooh, Solitude,
Only you, only true

:: Music: "The Shape of My Heart" ~ The Police

No, the above is NOT Backstreet Boys!!!
I'm still cooling off from last night. That whole thing really pissed me off, and it still is.

On a lighter note, I am sitting here on the last day of school, watiting for second exam period to start. I couldn't come over later... mom had to drop me off at normal time. Oh well. I got a whole roll of film of pics of people, and they're all pretty good, including a concept-art picture of Matt's finger.

So I'm sitting here alone in the lab, with only Brian O' Keefe sitting at another computer, and "Good Ole Mr. Carrol"... It's kind of amazing, to see how much energy can be in a full computer lab, or any room for that matter, but how little there is when the room is empty.

I have to go to Fun Day at St. Francis. This is the day without classes, You make macaroni necklaces, Mrs. Henahan gets a giant super soaker, the teachers have Jello eating contests. (To really make it funny, you watch them cringe when they eat the Berry Blue kind... so gross). Sounds.... Fun. :-|

Hah ha! Italian Job is PG-13, all-you-sorry-no-it's-rated-R-morons! Imdb.com and the movie listings say so. Hang your heads in shame for misleading me.

The world as we know it has reached a new bottom level: "Poser Wars"
What the F*** ever happened to accepting people for who they are, and not what they wear??

Seems only like the beginning of the year when people were all saying idealistically "I accept people on their personality and who they are inside, not for what they wear or what they do..."

Now we have "Poser Wars"

Seems kids these days find it taboo to wear an Abercrombie shirt with skater shoes. If you do, you are a 'poser', because you are pretending to be a skater (in most cases around here. We go to a Catholic school. Uniforms sport the prep fashion). Seems we are more important that we label people, categorizing them into cliques based on if they skateboard, wear Abercrombie, are in Band, etc.

Yes, I know its happened forever... but this isn't quite the same in our day and age.

Also, this is quite different from casually using terms like "smart kid" or "skater" or "jock" casually. In those cases, they are used to give a one word undetailed description of a person's traits.... These "Poser Wars" are stepping that up to a level where fighting, side-taking and general shallowness has prevailed.

Are we all that shallow to defame and actually HATE someone because of something that petty?

entrancing
You have an entrancing kiss~ the kind that leaves
your partner bedazzled and maybe even feeling
he/she is dreaming. Quite effective; the kiss
that never lessens and always blows your
partner away like the first time.

What kind of kiss are you?

"Hail to the Thief", Radiohead's new album comes out soon. There was a like 4 page article and spread about them in Time magazine, and they were pretty positive about their unique style and sound.

All of my hard exams are in the past. I am happy.

We had a pseudo "Student Council" meeting for our class, which was rather pointless, it was actually funny. We were talking about some Freshman Fun Night thing we were going to do like Friday but as soon as I sat down we all decided not to do anything and we all left. It was so short it just seemed like a small cluster of atomic chaos that subsided quickly.

I've been really interested in swords and swordfighting/ fencing recently. I've found some sweet weaponry from different countries that aren't your typical swords and hand-combat devices. The Katar, from India, and these sweet devices the fighters would hold on their hands- they had an "H" shaped handle and shielding all around it, and a blade on the end. They were used in hand to hand combat and wold be deadly many times.

Anyways.....

I want to go see "The Italian Job" tomorrow or some day after exams... It'd be great. Maybe I'll get some other people to go along, because I'm bored going to movies alone. *Frowns*

I found a must read for anyone who kind of likes murder mysteries or Batman.

It's called "Batman: The Long Halloween". Simply, it's about the Police and Batman trying to aprehend a killer who strikes on holidays, who's been killing off members of the largest crime family in Gotham. Intertwining with the main story is the tragic story of how The D.A. of Gotham, Harvey Dent, goes insane and becomes Two-Face. No zany "Bat Gadgets" or Batmobile, Bat Boat, Bat Jet, Bat Submarine, or any of that dumb stuff. It's Batman's roots: A detective story about criminals in a city so run over with crime. It's a great book. It's a graphic novel (like an artistic, very thick comic book) but its not cheesy or anything like that. You can get it at Barnes and Noble in the Fantasy/COmic Books section (Between the Bathrooms and the magazines). If you have an hour and a half or so to kill you can probably put a huge dent into it...

Pick it up and read it!

Alright, I'm out. Peace, Love and all that Garbage

Exams. Booooooo!!!!!!!!!!
I hate school. Thank God I am out. Funny thing is If I didn't take Brook's exam I figured out I'd still have an 84. Heh.

I've been scoring Morpheus for as many U2 songs as I could find. I've gotten over 7 hours worth of music, but I still think my favorite song is "Where the streets have No Name"

Anyways Graduation was yesterday, and I feel very sad. It's sad to see all the seniors go, like Geoff, Megan Banka, Paul, Trey, Erin (All 3) Julie, Kirsten, Kramer etc.

The Scientist

Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need you
And tell you I set you apart
Tell me your secrets, and nurse me your questions
Oh lets go back to the start
Running in circles, coming in tails
Heads on a science apart
Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart
And tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

Ooooohhhhhhh

Well, this is closer...
Well not exactly what I think I am like, but I tried changing answers where I was split 2 ways, and after fluctuating the choices a bit like 12 times I kept getting Professor X:

You are Professor X!

You are a very effective teacher, and you are very
committed to those who learn from you. You put
your all into everything you do, to some extent
because you fear failure more than anything
else. You are always seeking self-improvement,
even in areas where there is nothing you can do
to improve.

You are Gambit!

You are a fierce fighter and a good friend to have.
Your preference for solitude and your
attractiveness make you very intriguing to
those you meet. Unfortunately, close
relationships are few and far between for you
because you often have trouble opening up to
others.
