Columbia
You've worn all black since you were nine and knew,
even as a nine year old living in nowheresville
that you were a New Yorker at heart. Well, you
wont make it in the big city. I'm sorry tike.
Still, have fun while it lasts, because the
rumor is, most Columbia students don't.

Yay I win! Boo, I lose!
I won the election today. I was very happy, and while I won't say who I voted for on my ticket, I will say over 3/4 of the people I voted for won. It was a good day.

Exams are coming up, and I need to start studying, but right now I'm chilling out. Folkes are out right now, and I gotta walk the dog, but that can wait so i can chat with my friends.

K-Pax is on tonight too. Great movie!

On another, more bad note... I made a stupid mistake today involving relationships, and I can't talk my way back out of it. (For the people who know me and are reading this who like to gossip, I am not going on with details or names... I want to keep the rest of it private)

In the words of Sting, off of his album "Brand New Day":

"...But tomorrow we'll see"

Updates
Journal Technical Updates: As of a few minutes from now I will be changing my picture, and will prolly tone down the shockingly contrasting orange on my journal.

God I love Coldplay. (Alright anyways... I just had to say that)

School is dumb, but at least the next few days are review and screw-around. Late start It's the last one :-) & :-( ... So and I might be going in early as to check out the Drum Major tryouts. I don't know what time and where, so I gotta call Adrienne to find out.

I'm not sure about the elections tomorrow. Bryan's gonna win unopposed, VP is a tossup (Me or Christine), Treasurer is a tossup and Secretary I have no clue who's even running (I think just Nicole and Leah.. another tossup)

As for the Reps...

I feel everyone is going to write down Jon Parsons, as a joke, but he will end up being one. Yippy. Otherwise, that's a tough one too (well, about 8 people are running... only 5 really would get my vote so its not as big of a field)

Anyways, these elections get so blown out of proportion.

Bend it Like Beckham was the best movie I have seen in a while (besides the others I've already seen this weekend)

I don't want to go back to school. I don't want exams. I forgot everything. *tear*

Alright I gotta get off. Sister needs to type a paper

The Zen of Robin WIlliams
The more and more I think about it, the more and more I realize Robin William's humor is an art!

Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes, folks.
Saw Bruce Almighty. Loved It.
Saw Road to Perdition. Loved It.
Saw Wag the Dog. Loved It.
Gonna See Bend it Like Beckham. Gonna Love it.

Yeah so I watched a lot of movies this weekend.

Work on Saturday was ok. I don't know I fi like it or hate it, but I'm thinking I hate it. I'll stick around for a while longer before I decide if I want to quit or not.

I had a very basic but nice dream... I went to the movies with a girl, (Don't remember who, but its someone I know) and we kissed. Then ended quickly. My point of view in the dream was kind of cinematic... Shots of us from different angles. That was it. Short, but sweet.

Going to Bruce Almighty Tonight. Looks funny, and even Mr.-I-Hate-anything-without-Adrien-Brody-In-It Bill Iddings gave it a great review- 3.5 stars... Seriously, before about February he hadn't given like any movies over 2 stars out of 4... A little overly critical If I say so myself. Anyways, Thinking of Jim Carrey, I'm also gonna go rent Man On the Moon and The Truman Show... I never got to see those

I hate this class
I'm in Lit, and I hate it. She wants us to edit this short essay for a whole fricking 45 minutes... I had 2 corrections.

This is bull... but at least it's Friday. Oh I forgot, I never do anything on Fridays because my friends are boring.

Pig test was easy. Had to take it. Wish I was going away this weekend.

On the traveling news front; Annie and Alex and some others are gonna go to some Rennaisance fair thing. I was wary at first (From MElanie's original description it just sounded like a nightclub where they ate pickled boar snout and told dirty medieval joke I didn't get) but when Melanie told me there would be hot girls in short leather skirts and chail mail, I said "Sign Me Up".

Think that's abnormal? Hang your head in shame.

:: Music: "Anywhere" ~Evanesence

I'm again working on that stoooooopid Lifestyles ppt. But I am taking a break. Anyways I've been building my collection of Evanescence songs not from "Fallen"... They've been increasingly popular on Morpheus. I've recently gotten "October" "Anywhere" "Away From Me" "Lies" and "Exodus"... Away from Me is great... it's about someone who's trying to find themselves when they find they're living a lie:

I hold my breath as this life starts to take its toll
I hide behind a smile as this perfect plan unfolds
But oh, God, I feel I've been lied to
Lost all faith in the things I have achieved
And I

I've woken now to find myself
In the shadows of all I have created
I'm longing to be lost in you
(away from this place I have made)
Won't you take me away from me

Crawling through this world as disease flows through my veins
I look into myself, but my own heart has been changed
I can't go on like this
I loathe all I've become

Lost in a dying world I reach for something more
I have grown so weary of this lie I live

As you can see if you've heard more than just Bring Me to Life... It's classic Evanescence.

I'm also compiling quotes I like... I'll put them up later

Ruben Wins... I feel nothing.

Wednesday Evening
Doing that powerpoint music video... I officially have heard "Lifestyles..." 3,782 times.

And I hate it.

American Idol Finale is on tonight, and I'm gonna check out the West Wing rerun... I can't get enough of that show (WW), especially after a season finale that didn't seem any more engrossing then the episode before it...

Go Clay. Don't like my opinion? Some countries in the world kill people for being dissidents. Maybe you can get a job as a dictator, and you can rule American Idol!!!! Mwahahahahaha...

Alright I'm back to sanity. Anyways, I went by Ruth Anns and I am now an official employee there (W-4 form is in Lynn's sphere of influence) I work on Saturday from 11 to about 3... so DON'T come by to talk with me; Lynn won't be pleased!

Kellar was all excited about my paper and how funny it was. I partly was pleased, and partly wasn't pleased with all the attention. I'm kind of glad someone out there likes my sense of not-much-slapstick-but-more-witty-like-in-West-Wing-or-ER-and-sometimes-silly humor... *Pat on back: I guess I am a funny guy, just people are in the Adam Sandler mindset or comedy... Whereas I study the Zen or Robin Williams... :-) *

Yeah American Idol was ok last night. Thats all I have to say.

Bell's gonna ring soon. I must head to Patterson, where I will then head to band where I will play a Prospect, a Southern Plantation Hymn (The music says "Southern Setting for Band") for the Bishop.

Hey I'm to lazy to make HTML so copy and paste this link: Interesting looking game based on the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse (We're studying Revelation right now.. kind of have the symbolism and stuff on my mind.)

One for the funny farm, kinda: Lauren wants to make a club where everyone is a horseman. I'm #4... The Pale Green Horse of Pestilence (I believe thats right)
