Happy VD!
Unending Love by Rabindranath Tagore
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times...
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.
You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

My icon journal is pretty dead since I don't remember my password and greatestjournal doesn't host pics anymore. I guess it's fine since I can put them on flickr or whatever but I have to get them off greatestjournal and right now I just don't have time. And I can't remember my password so I can't edit the entries.
Sorry, peeps.
If my password ever comes back to me, I'm going to make it my photoblog. I've tried every password I've ever used so it must be one I just used for that journal. Aidez-moi, y'all!
I am watching the last episode of Project Runway before Fashion Week. I shamelessly love this show.
I love you all.
P.S. "Image Hosting: This feature was disabled over a year ago; images that had previously been uploaded have been purged."
So all my icons are gone. Awesome. I don't even know if they're still on my parents' computer. If you have any of the icons I made, it'd be cool if you could email me a copy (onceloviikyu@gmail.com). That'd be great.
This kind of upsets me. I'm just going to remember my password, move on and make it a photoblog.

BLOGGING!
Every time I do my laundry at midnight I think "hmm maybe I shouldn't be running the abnormally loud washing machine at midnight" but then I remember that ABG has come running up here and complained to us about everything we do so if he has a problem, I'm sure he'll let us know.
Since Nick doesn't get home until nine, I usually don't end up doing much housework until after ten. This includes vacuuming. I always feel very conscious of any noise I make after nine, the unofficial "quiet time," especially since our apartment building is usually extremely quiet.
I am writing a page for Humanities tomorrow but I think I'll go take a shower and call it good until tomorrow.

My storm door died yesterday. I currently have it mended with zip ties…
From “Eleven Men Out,” I don’t want no ass bugger in my team.
Family Guy was GREAT tonight. I especially loved when Meg was holding the package of jumbo hot dogs and said she was going to pretend they were the New York Knicks. That and the men held in a cell on Tom Cruise’s property.
The Grammy’s were something… Alicia Keys couldn’t keep time with a recording of Frank Sinatra. Carrie Underwood did a great job, but had an awful dress thing. Rihanna was just plain bad, the backup singers pulled off the performance. The first half of the Beetles thing was good, until they got out the live singers. The only good thing about Kanye’s performance were the synthesized voices in the background. Fergie and John Legend were ho hum. Beyonce was useless and Tina sucked, they were even worse together. Foo Fighters voice was a little scratchy, but still enjoyable, especially the orchestra. Brad Paisley was, well a country singer. Aretha Franklin has a good voice, but that dress and the backlighting were not flattering. Feist is an annoying artist, get rid of her. Kid Rock disappointed as usual. Alicia Keys second performance was as bad if not worse than the first, although it got much better when John Mayer came out. The performance of Rhapsody in Blue was excellent. Amy Winehouse was ok as long as you listened only. That kid on the piano was pretty good too. Josh Groban and Andrea Borchelli were very good, but aren’t that great as a duo. Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis were decent for old men.

I love when people who don't have kids but only watch (babysit/daycare) or teach them talk about how kids act or how they should behave. Like those 3-8 hours are representative of how the child is. Or how the parent raises them.
It disgusts me. Especially when they are basing their judgments on a TV show that has been edited to only show certain parts. So when one kid hits the other one, the kids beat on each other all the time. And when the parents are crabby during one episode, they're overbearing tyrants.
Seriously, people? This is all you have to do? You just sit in front of the TV watching this one show and then go online and complain about the half hour of parenting you see these people, the people you don't even KNOW or have even ever MET, do on ONE DAY?
The world is kind of disgusting me today. Also, Mitt Romney says if the democrats win, the terrorists win. I'm kind of tiring of hearing about the terrorists winning because of the opposite political party. This fear mongering shit is getting old, people. The sad thing is that it works on some people. Those same people are probably really excited for Larry the Cable Guy in Witness Protection.

You are The Lovers
Motive, power, and action, arising from Inspiration and Impulse.
The Lovers represents intuition and inspiration. Very often a choice needs to be made.
Originally, this card was called just LOVE. And that's actually more apt than "Lovers." Love follows in this sequence of growth and maturity. And, coming after the Emperor, who is about control, it is a radical change in perspective. LOVE is a force that makes you choose and decide for reasons you often can't understand; it makes you surrender control to a higher power. And that is what this card is all about. Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. This card indicates that the you have or will come across a person, career, challenge or thing that you will fall in love with. You will know instinctively that you must have this, even if it means diverging from your chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it you will never be complete.
What Tarot Card are You? Take the Test to Find Out.

Halftime: Are they trying to pick the oldest bands that they can for the show? The Rolling Stones sucked last year, so this year they bring out a band equally as old that can’t hold a note because they’re so fucking old and have no lung capacity. Good songs and all, but they are far better on CD when the band was in their prime. How old is Tom Petty anyway? Ok, just looked it up, he’s 58 years old.

I made Nick drive me all the way to work before thinking that possibly the school was closed. We pulled into the parking lot and I thought: where are all the cars? I called the weather hotline and then Campus Safety who confirmed that "all functions and classes are canceled today" means that all offices are closed too.
And then we realized that our account was overdrafted making us literally poor. My paycheck on Friday, instead of going to food for the next two weeks, will go to paying off all the account fees. And Nick's paycheck will all go to rent, still making us very, very poor for two weeks. And we'd just gotten all caught up. It was ridiculous because none of these charges showed up until yesterday when all of them took place a week ago.
I love you all.

It is my birthday. I am 21 years old. This is exciting. I will officially be 21 at 8:25 Chicago time.
I went ice skating for the first time ever on Saturday and it was the most fun I've had in a long time. I was so happy and just smiling the entire time. The skates hurt my feet a lot though and now I have two really gross looking blisters on my ankles. They hurt a little. I have decided that I am going to join an ice skating nomad colony and ice skate for the rest of my days.

The host said something very nice: “Heath Ledger passed away this week and in all the years we’ve been doing this show, we’ve never had cause to mention him. I am taking a Folk and Square Dance course that is designed for Health and Physical EDUCATION majors. Ashley and I are the only non-athletic people in that class.
Instead of an exam, we have to draw up a lesson plan and teach a dance move that should take about twenty minutes. I was thinking about teaching the hobo dance and making something up or doing the jitterbug or belly dancing but I decided not to.
Instead, I am going to teach the Charleston. I don't know how to do it but I've always wanted to learn. I figure that if I have to teach people, I'll learn it far better than I ever would on my own.

This semester is going to suck.
I had two classes today and I have four tomorrow. My final class tomorrow is what I politely refer to as a semester-long quad. It's a semester-long course that starts at 6:30 and ends at 9:30. Woo.
On the bright side, my French class that I had today is canceled for the rest of this week and the Monday of next week. Also, tomorrow is the first day of my Folk and Square Dance class. Hopefully it will be just fun and not just work.
Here's to an awesome semester!
Also, all of you need to come home on the weekend of January 25 so we can celebrate my big two-one. I am contemplating partying Monday night too and just skipping my 9:25 class. We shall see.
