you dont lack social skills, you just have a fear of what your impression on them will be and therefore dont want to say anything stupid, and your logic says, to not say stupid stuff, dont say anything at all...that isnt a lack in any kind of skill, its a lack in not caring :-D peoples first impressions are generally followed up by getting to know you. if they say anything to anyone else about you, the other person will put in their opinion, which i believe is usually good. people get worse impressions if you are a bitch to tehm than if you dont talk to them, but if you dont talk to them, they get the feeling you dont like them...so its probably best to talk...

its strange because in some cases, you dont give a shit what people think of you
like you will dance around like a moron in the middle of wal-mart, but wont talk to people...::blinks:: how you act around your friends gives off this impression-that you dont live up to when talking one on one. understandably you wouldnt want to say somethings in fear of offending them, but a noraml convo shudnt be hard to achieve assuming your insanely wild when you get hyper. so much you dont shutup.....:-D
