Has anyone ever attempted Prom at Frederick Meijer Gardens? I think that would be so pretty.

What I liked about this last year's Prom: I kno some people complained about it, but I liked the fact that the dance floor was only medium sized. It kept everyone together instead of when we're in the cafeteria and we're all in little cliques. I liked that we could walk "the streets of G.R." and sort of do our own thing taking pictures and stuff. Carousel = bomb!

What I didn't like about this last year's Prom: There was absolutely NO WAY to walk from the dance floor to where all the food and tables were without clobbering people on your way over. lol Idk if that can really be avoided, but still. And yeah... that's all I have.

So what if I'm not very helpful, I tried!!!

Anything and everything is helpful, thanks!

Andrea and I were actually talking about Fredrick Mejier Gardens because her sister had prom there and really liked it. (She was also from Cedar) So maybe we don't want to go again, but it might be a cool idea so we'll look at it more in detail. Thanks Jordan!

I don't know how the music goes, but we seriously need new, better music. It's so frustrating that the DJ's never play something different and don't take any unique requests. Playing at least something different would make prom a million times better.

now i see what jordan is saying about the dance floor. but i actually didnt dance because i dont like being close to people when im dancing with my boyfriend. we only ended up dancing two dances because of it. so maybe a dancefloor at least where you arent touching anyone besides the person you are dancing with.
as far as location...
thats a hard one isn't it
ill have to get back to you.
you really want to avoid cliche' but not anything to outlandish.

Thanx for your comments. They are very helpful.
On the website for banquets at the Imax it showed rooms we could rent out. They were mostly for business meetings, but they said renting out the front lobby was an option. Is that.. a no? I figured I shouldn't look into that too much. But tell me what you think. (If you disagree and think that would be awesome) Any input is helpful.

I thought Frederick Meijer Gardens was one of the few places that CSHS was banned from? lol I'm not too sure on that one.
