Listening/watching the news... A series of bombings in London. Numbers of the dead are rising as they find them. TV says over 150 injured, at least 45 dead, and to expect the numbers to rise.

Scary times we're living in. Horrible people..

And we're just watching the numbers rise on television.

Yay!
Dad doesn't have cancer! Everyone is so relieved and happy. Even the dog! o_O

T'is very hot in Texas. I really want to go out and do something, but, as usual, we can't really afford it. That's okay. Maybe I'll go grocery shopping with Mom and Dad tomorrow. It's better than just sitting around here collecting dust.

I was kind of planning on going to Dallas with some friends but my parents decided against it. They've got their reasons. Same old story: can't afford it, it's kind of far away, I'm 15, there's going to be guys, etc. I understand why I can't go. I don't resent them for it. After thinking about it, I guess it might be a good thing instead of a bad thing.

Hm. An attempt at optimism. Kind of working.

Except now, Mom's having heart problems. =\ Things can never be ALL good at once, eh?

Really Need To Read.
I've got.. 4/5 books that I'm in the process of reading. I think I should map out a plan.

1. Pride and Prejudice. (due next Wednesday)
2. The Unhandsome Prince. (need to give it back to Laura soon)
3. The Taking.
4. HP and the CoS.
5. [I'm sure there's another book I'm supposed to be reading, but can't remember the title.]

I've finished "Girl, Interrupted", the other book I checked out from the library, so that's not it.. Oh, well, I'll figure it out later.

Degrassi marathon all weekend long. I've seen almost all of the episodes over 10 times, so I'm not particularly worried about missing it. However, I do think I'll watch the marathon on Sunday, season four(?), because I've not seen them so many times. Then next Friday is the season premiere of Degrassi and Instant Star, a show that I'm not entirely sure about.

Mm. Can't wait 'til Mom and Dad get home with my chedder pretzels and cheese dip. Yes, I'm a cheese-aholic. And a choco-holic. And.. well, that's enough.

I think I have a new nickname. I'm not sure if Skye was joking or not when she said "I'm Moo, you're Cackle," so I guess we'll see. Cackle? Me? Sure, I say/do it alot, but... Cackle? XD.

From Work Update

alright. looks like mom is going to pick up the mini tomorrow sometime. it's in chicago.

we're on 9 hours today. have been all week. we're also scheduled for up to six hours on saturday. so that's, 45 hours, plus 6, 51 hours.

i suppose my bank account will love me for the 11 hours of time-and-a-half, but my dogs are barkin', let me tell ya.

this job is not good for your body. but i'm definitely firming up. i have to drink more water. and i should do at least one bowl of keto-bran flake-buds a day.

i have also ascertained that my vocal range is a smidgen over 2 octaves. and i don't own it all. i find that depressing. oh well. we have ways of improving. eventually.

oop. stuff's dropping. time to go.

work is a serious bitch. and i totally hate getting up at five thirty every day. but it's kinda refreshing in a way. i just hope it lasts.

i got nine hours in today. with a 10 min break, and a 15 min lunch. i was supposed to have 20 mins for lunch, but there were parts dropping off the line, and i wanted to stay on top of things. not to mention i was swamped by about 12 carts from the wood plant. they are kicking some hardcore ass over there to try and catch up.

this is gonna be a long week.

this weekend was great. i loved every minute of it. it was just kinda sad that i didn't get home until two last night. but i'll go to bed super early tonight. probably before dad is back from his meeting. but i loved the ride to kalamazoo. she's just so fun. in the heat of all the bullshit, we could still be us and be goofy, and it didn't matter. it's just so natural, all the time. i love that.

anyway...

the real reason i'm updating.... OPEN HOUSES!

moms is SUNDAY, JUNE 26. something like 1-5 pm or around there. i can't remember exactly. the address is 2676 Arbor Chase Dr. Grand Rapids, MI 49525. mapquest it, bitches. it's three mile just off the beltline.

if you can't make that, my dad's is on SATURDAY, JULY 2. definitely from 1-5 pm. it's at the clubhouse (glass building) in ferrand estates, next to Damon's, on the south side of 44th st., between byron center and ivanrest.

if you want to come to both, feel free. i'm not gonna make you register to come or anything. just show up, and be ready for a raucous time, consisting primarily of me sitting around, entertaining my more senile relatives.

party with me, or just... don't come, and never ever see me again. that's okay. i don't blame you.

I live in the outskirts of a small town. Lots of people around us, particularly Mexicans. I'm not racist. I repeat, I am NOT racist. In fact, one of my best friends is Mexican. Truly.

However, the whole riding down the road, windows rolled down, radio blasting some Mexican song with particularly annoying bass rhythms that repeats over and over throughout the whole song, which happens to last well over five minutes, so that everyone around you (and within a five-mile proximity) can hear this magnificent song that makes him/her want to drill a whole through his/her own head, or yours... is not cool.

End of that subject. [end of song; The Killers CD begins.]

There's something I left off of that entry yesterday.

+We found out that Dad might have cancer again.

Yeah. Nervous about that... hope everything turns out okay.

But I'd rather not talk about that!

The new Coldplay CD came out today.. However, they didn't have it at Wal-Mart. Sadness feels me. Er, rather, I feel sadness. ...o_O;

Anyway, I guess I don't really have much to say.. Just had to vent a wee bit about the music thing. Aheh.

Yay pictures of the sky. Always fun. Especially when one part of the sky is ominous dark blue clouds, one part is pinkish fluffy ones, and another part is orangey/blackish, just plain scary/evil-looking clouds. Oh, and a little bit of blue sky in spots.

jesus. life has been crazy. i moved into my dad's trailer. i'm working at steelcase. i put in 25 hours last week. probably 40-50 hrs this week.

because i love jackie. SHHHHH!!!

this weekend was pretty kick ass. i got to chill out. i got to graduate. i got to party all night long. i got to sleep. i cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. a lot. jackie came over. i grilled out.

and today i raced my car for the first time.

yeah, i went to grattan for the Alfa Romeo track day. i registered for the open touring session during lunch. i switched corners too fast again, panicked just like before, let off the throttle (STUPID!!!), fishtailed through turn four, and then spun into the grass. aside from looking like a moron and thrashing one of my front tires, no harm done. and the tire damage isn't bad. i just need to raise the front end a bit. and roll the fenders some more. i'd kinda like to pull those fender skirts completely, but i'm sure the metal is hideous underneath. maybe i'll be surprised. probably not.

but yeah.

and since all i talk about are cars, here you go...

i'm gonna get mom to let me do that with her mini cooper....
