Acutally there is no need for a draft, I know a few people in the army and the special forces and so many people are in reserve right now that a draft in completely unrealistic. The senates draft bill also does not necesarily instate a draft by what I have read, it redefines who gets drafted in the event of a draft. Women would be included now and it is much harder for college students to avoid a draft. Most of the senators say they will vote no on it however, it has very small support.

that would be pretty difficult, what with the system of checks and balances and all. it would have to pass through both houses of congress before dubya would even get the chance to reinstate it.

also, when you read the transcripts of both draft bills you would see that the sponsors of both are bipartisan, therefore, a democrat would make no fucking difference.

everyone goes with the party line. kerry says he's for the poor but yet he owns multiple houses and plays less taxes than Bush who only owns his ranch in Texas and pays double what Kerry pays in taxes.

it's really just the lesser of two evils.

then again, being the president of the united states is a job whose prerequisite is being evil.

so, may the most evil candidate be more evil!
