when i think about forests being cut down, animals dying out, lakes, rivers, and oceans being polluted, and the general destruction of the natural world, i want to cry.
defenseless beauty and perfected balance are dying, and no one cares.

eh so yah i write this in with wierd feelings... i haven't seen my girlfriend since monday nite. i took her out to the movies and dinner. we saw 'yours, mine, & ours' and went to chilis. it was fun. then we went back to my house and watched cruel intentions because she had never seen it before. hanging out with her is so easy... its it supposed to be so easy? i mean i have had other g/f's but never like this, so soon. it hasn't even been an offical month but it seems like its been years. i am comfortable with her. we mesh very well. still i can't help but thinking this is too good to be true. we both tell each other that we are falling for each other and that it feels perfect, but its still just so odd. i try to embrace the moments and not to think about it, but when i find myself missing her, like i am right now... i start to think its too good to be true.
hmmm.... quit bitching kevin you fool... just go with the flow!

okay so after yesterdays 'real' rant i have some more beef... this time its with reebok and less important.
It seems reebok makes a sweet ass Black Shadow NFL jersey for 'certain' nfl players... they have 18 players from 16 of the 32 nfl teams. for the teams that dont have one i can think of at least one big name/play maker from each team. and it pisses me off because they dont have one for the dolphins and if they did i would buy it... so yah im pretty pissed.

So I go to get some coffee here at work. I walk into the lounge and the T.V. is on and it's a talk show with host Tyra Banks. The girl being interviewed was raped. She was at a party at a friends house, and she had passed out, and then was raped by three of her friends. Guys she thought she could trust actually raped her. She only found out about it because her cell phone called her house and left a message on her answering machine. She said she never told anyone for over three and half years. Her reason for keeping it a secret was because she felt 'dirty' and 'ashamed'.
This is sad because she was raped yet she feels dirty for it, like she let them do it. I just hope that any girl I have as a friend or that has any trust in me whatsoever would be able to come to me with this kind of thing because I would honestly try to help them out.
Ya this was pretty much just stupid post but whatever.

moveon.org is sponsoring this backlash against congress for the republicans' proposal of cutting social welfare programs, and what they want people to do is take a picture of themselves so that members of congress will see the actual people that their actions affect. i thought some of the pictures were inspiring and humorous, and it was just nice to see some "normal" people out there with families and the same concerns as the rest of us get involved. grassroots action always gets me. check it out
